Book Description

From the time she was a small girl, Alice Graves has been groomed to be a vampire slayer. While other children learned to jump rope and recite their ABCs, Alice was schooled in the arts of staking, bloodletting, and decapitation.

It's a good thing, too, since she's just followed a giant vampire down the rabbit-hole, and has plunged headfirst into a strange world ruled by an evil Blood Queen.

Welcome to Alice's Vampire Wonderland, where nothing is what it seems and all of her slayer's skills will be put to the test if she's to survive the treacherous hours between dusk and dawn.

A fast-paced, fun twist on a timeless classic!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Blood Queen will have my head! June 22, 2013
When sixteen year old Alice sees a White Rabbit and a fifteen foot tall vampire pop down a large rabbit-hole, her first instinct is to follow them. What she finds is a collection of familiar characters from Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," including the Caterpillar, the Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, and more. She finds herself in a predicament because of her size, with the familiar "Eat Me" and "Drink Me" options. But all isn't what it seems in this version of Wonderland. Some of the creatures are Halflings, which comes from drinking vampire blood, and some of the creatures are really... Well, I'm not going to tell you and ruin the surprise! Suffice it to say that Alice should be concerned with other things than the ravings of the Blood Queen's, "Off with their head!"

This was a fun story, and I quickly found myself immersed in the adventure with Alice, "the strongest vampire slayer in all the land."

4.0 out of 5 stars Alice as a Vampire Slayer - Interesting! November 25, 2013

I love anything Alice & I love anything vampire - actually turns out for a great combo. Another thing I like about this book is that it isn't very long & drawn out. While I think the reading time on my Kindle was about an hour for the whole story, I do wish there had been just a few more details to the story. I feel like there is some assumption that the reader must have read the original story, but I think if the reader *hadn't* read the original that maybe this story would be easier to follow (I probably sound like I contradicted myself there, but not sure else how to explain it). It was a good read, and I love the idea of Alice the Vampire Hunter.

5.0 out of 5 stars A blistering read June 21, 2013

I loved this great little mash-up. It is the latest trend in horror, but this book really stood out from the crowd with its superior prose and genuine wit which is played to awesome effect. I won't spoil any of the surprises, but Alice is one kick ass heroine! I tore through this book in a few sittings, it was such a page turner. Ideal for anyone (like me) who loves a good vampire story, and an ideal read for anyone who loves Alice in Wonderland and wants to see a superb modern take on the book.

3.0 out of 5 stars A nice enough twist on the old story. November 24, 2013

This one is... average. Not great, not bad. It's a fast read that'll leave you wondering why it's not a full-length novel.

3.0 out of 5 stars I love Pride & Prejudice & Zombies. This, not so much September 15, 2013

Average sendup of Alice, with vampires in regular and wonderland.

Amusing, but not as well done as the other undead/classics mashups.

To be fair, maybe that's because while I like Alice in Wonderland, I don't consider that an all-time-favorite classic, so the mashup just isn't that funny to me.
