This is a excellent CD! I like every song on it. Usually there are only a few choice songs that are good on cd's; but not on this one; every one rocks! I will definately by her next one when it comes out!

I have been a fan of Mandy Perkins for a couple of years. I discovered her on MySpace.com. Though at the time she was an independent artist. So I was so excited to her that she was signed to a major label. In a day when record companies sign few artist to their label it is quite a feat to get signed today.

And what do we get out of this? We get a finely crafted CD. From the songwriting to the musical arrangement to of course Mandy's singing. Everything just fits so perfectly you will fall in love with her music instantly.

One of the joys of listening to the CD is that Mandy has recorded some of her earlier songs that were released independently. But these aren't just rerecorded from the earlier works. no. Mandy went so far as to rearrange the music. So if you hearing these songs for the first time then it's great but if your already a fan you get the extra bonus of hearing these songs in a different light.

With Mandy's voice there may be some comparison to people like the lead singer of 10,000 Maniacs or similar artist. Though is some but really her voice is on different level. When she sings these 13 songs you feel as though she has lived each and every one(I know that can be said about a lot of artist). Make no mistake though Mandy's sings with a passion makes you stand up and notice.

Her songs speak of individuality and of being your own person. Of heartbreak and love. Of sadness and happiness(and it's funny too because she has said that she mainly writes when she is angry) and everything in between. Play a sample of the song here. Mandy here as made a very impressive debut album that will excite older fans and newer fans alike. Listen and I sure you will be one too.

Rock literati at its best. Unapologetic rock, with strong vocals and even stronger lyrical themes. The album leaves behind the usual adolescent subject matter that has been regular radio fodder for much of the last decade(perhaps more), and instead tackles subjects that most will truly relate to. The album delves into how we define ourselves and how our journey is sometimes helped, sometimes hindered by those around us. How some people leave a mark on us even when we've moved on. Unquestionably an album worth added to your collection.

This album is the best album of the year by a new artist. Her voice is captivating and emotional. I don't think I have connected to an album like this since Jagged Little Pill. I mean, ever track could be a single! Watch out because this girl is going to be HUGE!

I heard Mandi Perkins play at the Roxy 3 years ago and was floored. I have never seen someone command the stage like she does. The place was packed and nobody could take their eyes off of her. And since then I have seen the crowds grow and grow as word of mouth has spread about her.

I've seen her music described as melodic rock. All I know is that her music is catchy and I find myself costantly singing her lyrics and humming her songs. She is an amazing songwriter and her music is full of passion.

Don't let her looks fool you, like I first did. A friend of mine told me about this album. He's been a fan of Mandi's for a couple years. I was skeptical, I'll admit. I thought: Great. Another young, untalented hot blonde on a quest for stardom. I was wrong. This girl's got real talent.

Her voice is beautiful, with the kind of distinction that comes along once or twice in a generation of music. Her writing is original, refined(I heard she was an English Lit major in college?).

My favorite songs on the album: BROKEN WINDOW (I get goosebumps when I hear that one); CRAWL (I sing this at the top of my lungs while driving; yeah, people stare); I FALL DOWN (love that softness in her voice); and WHY (how did she know?) But seriously, I think they're all potential hits. I'm sure I'll be hearing them on the radio real soon.

Anyway, this girl is going to be big. Something tells me that this is only the beginning for her. She's got the kind of talent that maintains an artist's career for a long, long time. She's definitely got the looks and image. Hope she'll have the luck too.

"Alice in No Man's Land" is terrific from start to finish! Mandi's first full-length album clearly demonstrates what her many fans have known for some time--Mandi is a wonderful song writer and a truly captivating singer.

Mandi Perkins has a beautiful voice, and she needs to be heard. This CD is absolutely amazing. Her voice really shines on every song. A great CD for anytime.

a sound that rings nothing less than incrediable!!! Mandi pours from her heart all the bad and sad , with a love and passion that can only come from with-in. She is an artist in every sense of the word. Seeing her anywhere you can will only add to the MANDI experience.Keep an eye on her
