A wonderful book chock full of fabulous photos of old New York and of the subjects home town of Staten Island. The photos take you back to a gentile era. Read of the life of Alice- from her days as a well to do lady to her struggle to hold onto her old ways after the "crash". Victorian life lovers will linger over this photo feast. A+++++++.
