Yes, her fans have been waiting on this title to finally be reissued on CD. The vinyl of this "Alica" album has been in demand for years! Now, beautifully remastered on CD, grab it while you can!

This CD contains the 2 songs Myer's is probably most well known for, "I Want To Thank You" and "If You Play Your Cards Right". Also here you will find "Spirit of the Boogie", "We Can't Stay In Bed Forever", "Life, Joy and Happiness", "Reservations For One" and "Don't Stop Doin' What You're Doin". Talk about classic! Man! I hope Universal will follow-up and reissue Alica's entire catalog on CD, especially 1984's "I Appreciate" and 1981's "I Fooled You This Time".

It's nice to see this album finally available on Cd. Myers was always a GREAT singer, but her material never quite 'touched' when I was a kid. Now, I appreciate it more. Her sound is terribly similar to One Way mainly because Kevin McCord was producing both acts and since she was simply an extension of One Way, the sound similarities are not surprising. Still, after nearly 30 years, the stand-out cuts remain, "I want to thank you" and "If you play your cards right."

Now for the real reason to buy this CD: THE SOUND IS SUPERB..AMAZING. The Surfer Soul re-issue is about the sound. The mastering process is innovative and being applied to this series of releases. The packaging is ok, but it is a 'priced-down' reissue. In America, that's called a budget line title, where the artwork is not all replicated. Such is with this series.

If you order pre-order these titles, you can get them for only $15 from the right vendor as I have done. They are worth every penny.

Out now is Alicia's "Appreciation." That's a better album than this one because it's was also a peak for One Way with the release of the "Lady" album, which is being released on Feb. 25, 2009. Get them..you'll thank Universal Japan later.
