This review is from: The Alien Agenda (Signet) (Paperback)
This book, being written in the 70's, really steps out of the box. It covers the normal are ufo's real, are they hostile or friendly, basic stuff discussed in every UFO book of today, but not back then. It was still very shunned upon to talk about or even think about mentioning UFO's in the scientific community. So I commend the author for doing that.
The book, being an Agenda, is just like any other agenda book. In fact there is another book by Jim Marrs that covers very similar material as this book, just in more detail due to the amount of information available now compared to back then. Towards the center of this book, the author starts to refer to other books and almost critique other writings on the UFO subject, which becomes somewhat boring. But it picks back up. The only thing I did not like about this book is the last two chapters. The author, not coming off as a strict Christian, Bible-following person, out of nowhere begins to preach essentially. The book becomes very religious as though the author is trying to solidify his own beliefs in Jesus, and not that this is wrong or anything, but he should have left that out. People, speaking for myself of course, are pressured enough by religion these days, and quite frankly I don't want to hear anymore about it in relation to UFO's and whatnot. Me being Catholic for 23 years, it is outright condemned in the church to believe in UFO's and psychic phenomenon, and I'm tired of hearing that it is wrong. So, I say leave the Christian/UFO stuff alone. Otherwise, great book. Some other material briefly discussed includes the Bermuda Triangle, UFO/Egyptian relationships, the Nazca Lines, a Hollow Earth theory, Teleportation, Psychic Projections, and Possession. |
