My husband and I have watched all four seasons of Face Off and I have to say, it's one of my favorite shows. My favorite part of a movie is watching the "Making Of" featurettes in the bonus section and this show is basically that, the making of cool make-ups. It's so neat to see the final transformation and it really gives me an appreciation for how much goes into movie make up. Also, all of the contestants on all four seasons are so cool and truly supportive of each other. You don't have the petty back stabbing that you do on other reality shows. Maybe it's because it's a niche community or something but I'm really impressed with how cool they all are and how willing they are to help each other (except for Autumn who was a real Negative Nancy). Anyway, there were some really neat challenges this season and the Redemption opportunity was cool too.

I have been watching Face Off from the first season. The entire cast is always so talented and creative. I can't wait to find out what the new theme is going to be each time an episode airs. One of my favorite aspects of this show though, is the fact that everyone is so supportive of one another. You just don't see a lot of malicious behavoir between the contestants. They always seem to want to help each other and it's great! For someone like myself, who would love to make monsters-this show is super inspiring.

Anyone who enjoys sci fi, fantasy, horror -- any type of movie with make up special effects, this show is so fun to watch, and you learn so much about the depths of expertise that goes into this art you've enjoyed watching on the screen. Also, the whole "reality TV" competition thing is fun to see. The "contestants" are not professionals but they know what they're doing. They are judged by professionals and each week a very well known expert in the industry joins the regular judges. I've been fanatically watching this show since it first began on the SyFy channel. Sadly I had to give it up this year, mid-season, when I decided to give up my cable TV. It was a real sacrifice. Quickly I did some research and found that I could rent the series by individual episodes on Amazon Instant Video. And within two days of the original showing on TV. I was delighted -- AND no commercial breaks! Face Off -- I would most definitely recommend this series.

For my money, FaceOff is the best of the reality shows. There is little posturing, probably because most of the contestants are professionals or want to be professionals in the field. They are amazingly cooperative with each other, and what they accomplish can be truly surprising. In this contest, unlike some others, the contestants are given several days to complete their featured work. While some of the efforts come up short, at least the viewer is given some of the thought processes that went into the design and creation. I was introduced to this show when I was bedridden in the hospital for eight days, and I am hooked now.

I absolutely love love love this show! I am obsessed with special effects makeup and being an artist this show is made for me!

I love the judges...they always give honest and forthright criticism. They also, compared to other "reality competition" shows really encourage and speak truthfully to the contestants. Rarely ever have I disagreed with their elimination choices. I particularly enjoyed this season because the contestants were friendly to each other. Of course there is always a little needed drama for a tv show but the final 4 artists were so supportive and humble towards each other! I love the creativity of the challenges. Each season I keep thinking how will they come up with something fresh...but they always do!

Anyone who likes sy-fi shows, monsters, blood and gore, artists or reality show people will totally enjoy this show!!!! Thanks FX Keep this show coming!

This season is disappointing after the previous 3. It's been glammed up too far, and frankly the quality of the artists is really lacking. This was disappointing considering how well the previous seasons had gone

The idea of having Michael Westmore as an advisor is a great one but it fails because it is not well used and you don't get to learn anything from this great man. I would far rather sacrifice celebrity judges for a return to better quality

I love the creativity level of this show. If you are an artist of any sort, but especially sculpting or costume design/special effects, you should enjoy this show. I only wish they would give the contestants a little more time to perfect their creations.
