Book Description

Adam Cain is an Alien with an Attitude...

Navy SEAL Adam Cain finds himself attempting to make a living the best he can in the alien universe he's been dropped into -- as an assassin! After all, with his kick-ass attitude and instinctive hatred for aliens, he's a natural at it.

As a Human among aliens, he's stronger, faster and tougher than just about everyone -- and everything -- he encounters. In this reality -- Adam is the Superman!

Alien Assassin is a whirl-wind adventure of incredible space battles, shoot-outs with galactic criminals, and even a love interest that is...well, a little different. And as all of this is going on, the political forces of revenge and 4,000-year-old grudges converge on The Fringe Worlds. But even as galactic forces close in on Adam and his gang, there's one message that all the aliens begin to grasp: Don't Mess With The HUMANS!

If you haven't read Book One: The Fringe Worlds, it might be a good idea to pick up a copy. Book Two carries the story along swiftly. The Saga Continues...don't be left behind!

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable Adventure Sci-Fi - Recommended March 7, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
"Alien Assassin" is the sequel to the The Fringe Worlds (The Human Chronicles - Book One) and even though there is a recap in this book, readers will enjoy these more reading them in order.

No plot spoilers from me; the story follows the exploits of Adam Cain, displaced Navy SEAL thrown into a universe populated by dozens of alien races. Humans are barely known to the rest of the galaxy but are "Supermen" compared to the generally wimpy aliens he encounters. As uncovered in the last book, humans are key to the plans of a powerful alien race seeking to avenge a wrong done to them by the current dominant species. With all of the grand planning by the aliens, Adam is just attempting to make a living doing what he like to do most of all, killing aliens.

The writing style keeps the pace moving very quickly and there are more than few plot devices that border in the "highly unlikely" range, but nothing that detracts from the overall story. This is a good mix of Sci-Fi adventure and military Sci-Fi, which makes for an enjoyable read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast paced February 26, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This is a great story! This is book 2 of a series. The first book finds the main character a human in a galactic empire of space travel, aliens and worlds. However, in this empire humans are an unknown "superman
" race.
This continues that story as the main character, and human, tries to return to earth and in the meantime finds other humans like him.
If i had any criticism, it was that the this and the first book were too short. I think the books should have been combined. Yet it seems that other writers are dong the same piece-meal story.
Even then, will get the next installment.

Here is the second part of a well written series. The major characters are well written, and the idea that we humans could be the "supermen" of the galaxy is a great hoot. Read more

I liked the first book so it is easy to like the second. This continues the story of humans as the overly strong and fast alien race. Very easy to read but a fun story. Read more

More About the Author

Hello Everyone!

My name is Tom Harris and I write under the name of T.R. Harris.

I currently have a best-selling science fiction series available entitled The Human Chronicles Saga, with five books included in Part One of the series. The books (in order of publication) are: The Fringe Worlds, Alien Assassin, The War of Pawns, The Tactics of Revenge and The Legend of Earth. Book 5 wraps up Part One of the Human Chronicles Saga, but there will be a Part Two. Part Two should begin around May-June of 2013 with the publication of Cain's Crusaders.

The inspiration for The Human Chronicles series came from a T-shirt ad in the old Soldier of Fortune Magazine. It was of a muscle-bound man, holding a smoking gun and standing over a dead dragon-looking thing. The caption read: "I don't know what it was -- but it's dead!"

I just love the whole concept of humans not being afraid of anything, and when faced with a challenge as big as the universe, we can overcome any threat with a swagger and a wink!

There's nothing wrong with feeling proud of your race, and I mean The Human Race. The series also introduces the reader to my concept of the practical galactic empire, The Juirean Expansion, and how every advanced race share the same wants, needs and desires as other intelligent beings. It's also written from the most realistic vantage point as possible. Hell, my characters even have to go to the bathroom now and then! Adam Cain, the main character, also has anxiety attacks, is homesick -- and is really pissed-off that he's been yanked out of his comfortable life back on Earth and thrown into a smelly, disgusting alien universe.

As I say in the books, Adam Cain is an Alien with an Attitude -- and he makes everyone around him pay for his bad mood!

The books are quick and easy reads. I hope you enjoy them.

I plan to blog regularly about my progress as an indie writer, complete with sales stats and any tips and tricks I learn along the way. Please check it out.
