I read Tim Good's ABOVE TOP SECRET and was duly impressed with his journalism. Good proved straightforward and well-researched. I was surprised by the sensationalism in ALIEN CONTACT. This is not a bad book, just a vastly different one than his hallmark tome.

Good touches upon cattle mutilations, subterranean alien bases, and many of the ancillary connections to the UFO phenomenon. The best portion of the book is an in-depth look at Bob Lazar and his supposed inside information. Lazar claims to have been briefly employed at the Nevada site known as Area 51.

Lazar subsequently had a falling out with his employers and began divulging confidential information to prevent the feds from whacking him before he could violate security. His strategy was to come out with the information so that he would be immune to elimination, as a mysterious death would serve to prove him correct posthumously. Instead, he would put up with the inevitable ridicule and harassment. Judge for yourself whether you believe his information. I will tell you that I was impressed. He sounds like he understands the technology and what he says fits in nicely with all the known information that has leaked from the elite military junta over the years.

The book is a worthy read, though not as an all-purpose overview of the UFO and related phenomena. I also read Good's 2000 book UNEARTHLY DISCLOSURE, which also was highly enjoyable. In this work, Good goes very much in depth on a few otherworldly experiences reported by various earthlings. The chapters and pictures detailing Filiberto Caponi's saga are really great. Do a web search on Caponi to get his story - it really is good stuff. Without the story, the pictures look pretty fake. But add in the story and also Caponi's wonderful sketches, and it begins to sound too strange to be made up. It may be that he has captured photographs of something extraterrestrial.

There are scores of stories from around the world detailing encounters with strange creatures. These are not just delusions - there has often been physical evidence such as hair or blood left at the scene which has been analyzed and found not to match any known creature. One epicenter of strange creature sightings is Puerto Rico, where Good has professed his belief in the existance of a subterranean alien base.

It all gets to sound so crazy, but most of the leading researchers over the past decade have come to believe in alien bases and aliens among us. Either that is what is really going on or the governments of the globe have done a great job of infusing disinformation into ufology circles. With tourists going into space with digital cameras, the day can't be far off when the proof of an alien presence in, on, and around Earth is undeniable. Whatever else we discover and how this knowledge alters our civilization going forward and looking back will be monumental.

This book picks up where Timothy Good's previous book, "Above Top Secret," leaves off. He is an excellent researcher on the UFO subject, and leaves no stone unturned. I bought "Above Top Secret," and was so impressed by it that I went out of my way to find any other books by Timothy Good (this was before I knew about Amazon.com and their search button). "Alien Contact" is a more speculative book than "Above Top Secret," but still solidly researched and extremely interesting. I am surprised at the lack of positive reviews for this great book, and that there is no book cover picture shown for it. This is a great book, and it deserves more positive attention. The best sections deal with Area 51 in Nevada, and the alien craft seen there. One section describes how several military fighter pilots on training runs (at different times) encountered UFOs over Area 51, after disobeying standing orders for all pilots not to overfly the base. Fascinating stuff. There is also a big section on Bob Lazar's Area 51 story. Along with Timothy Good's previous book, "Above Top Secret," and Jim Marrs' book "Alien Agenda," this is one of the best books I've read on the UFO subject. Highly recommended. Get it and read it.

The truth is that you are probably not looking for books on cover-ups, because i know i wasn't. But this book was the best information i have read in a long time on American cover ups, sightings, and new experimental theories. This book was like watching all the discovery channel shows in one sitting. If you want to know you will read this one.

This book was first published in the UK in 1991 under the title "Alien Liaison: The Ultimate Secret" and in 1993 in the USA under the title "Alien Contact." It remains a classic of the genre and essential reading for anyone interested in what the governments of the world know (especially the US Government) and apparently conceal about the ET issue.

By the time this book was published, Tim Good had been researching the UFO phenomenon for more than 30 years and had become well known following his unexpectedly successful 1988 best-seller "Above Top Secret". Here he extends the investigation into related areas of the phenomenon: the cattle mutilations of the 1970s and 1980s, the involvement of elements of the US government in allegedly covering up their possession of downed ET technology, detailed reports of the goings-on at Dreamland and other sites and the active debate about disclosure of the ET issue behind closed doors. There is a lot about the revelations of Bob Lazar, and about the goings-on in Puerto Rico.

One of many sobering facts uncovered by the author: the NORAD Unknown Track Reporting System recorded more than 7,000 objects over North America and the Greenland-Iceland Gap during the 19-year period 1971-1990. The US Air Force confirms these records do exist, but claims them to be exempt from FOIA disclosure on the grounds of "National Security." A mere five of the 7,000 were eventually released to Citizens Against UFO Secrecy, all heavily censored. The rest remain concealed and unavailable to the public.

If you have little acquaintance with what is known about the ET issue and is being concealed, if you have never heard of "Project Snowbird" or "The Cosmic Journey Project" then you need to read this book.

Tim Good is respected in the field and has the confidence of inside sources because he is careful with his evidence and completely free of BS and new-age agendas. He backs up his claims with extensive documented evidence and is very thorough. He maintains complete independence and is a genuine researcher of original material like no other.

This is the first book of this kind of subject matter that I have purchased. I find some of the information that Mr. Good has presented to be that of some of the "special" UFO TV programs that have aired during that last 10 years or so. He mentions lots of names and places and very interesting accounts by very highly positioned people in many different facets within our government and outside of it. Some of the information, like I said before, seems to be reaccounts of other people that have been circled around for a long time, also lots of specifics having to do with actual sightings of either, UFOs and or beings that appear to have alot in common with round-the-world type sightings. The one thing that I found quite interesting about Mr. Good's views on his book, is that he constantly is reminding his readers of the fact of "disinformation" by the government which basically lends it self for specualtions that some of this stuff is hog wash and that some is some what right on the money. Which is which? Only those people that REALLY know whats going on can determin this. One thing is certainly true about this book, is that our government spends to much time and money interested in things that they aledge that don't exist. Another thing is the fact that no matter how much an organization or any other type of corporate or public entity tries keep things secret some kind of information WILL ALWAYS leak out. All of these points are some of the important ones that Good brings forth in his book and which make his book, more that just another UFO based book. I do agree with some of the readers, that some accounts by people interviewed are a little off the wall,(specially the one dealing with religion) but then again, imagine for a second that you are trying to explain to someone from the 1940's how the internet works and how important it has becomed for us in the year 2000. They'd probably think that you're completely nuts! This book has introduced me to some information pertaining to the La Parguera Lagoon area in Puerto Rico which I was not aware of and found very interesting. Overall, it does make for some interesting reading. With that said, we must continue to view all things with an open mind and make our assesments of the information submitted and from that draw our own RATIONAL conclusions.

Alien Contact turned out better than expected. I have already read Beyond Top Secret, and so far about 70% or more facts hold true from Good's previous book and some are being verified by the ongoing community of Area 51 leaks and defecting secrecy of military personel of today. Alien Contact has the more important parts of Bob Lazar's interview , besides transcribed material from high security and NASA personel. The credible and consistent witnesses get Mr. Good's attention and he does an excellent job of compiling it for the reader. I recommend this book for anyone who wishes to get caught up on the facts as best they can in the leading edge of curiosity about this subject.

After reading ooodles of these Alien and craft books they all begin to read the same. I appear to be stuck with the same old information then along comes a book like this!! Its is a "read more than once" book!! Guess I'll go see what else Timothy good has to offer...

If UFO's are your thing then Timothy Good is the person to lead you along

First of all, I'm an eighteen year old, who just started a security job which offers much free time to do anything. I've probably read about a handful of books in my whole life, or at least at my own will, and I picked up this "Alien Contact: Top Secret UFO files revealed" book, by a Timothy Good. I read the whole damn thing and I'm nothing short of amazed by some of the content. This book contained a very wide range of concepted "evidence" of extraterrestial beings. Such things as cow mutilations, to aircrafts,of possible space-time travel I might add, to also so very unconvincing aspects as well. Now the areas, that described what these aliens are doing here and their message's and their technologies and how it relates to the government and society and everthing that goes with this aspect, I found the most preferable to me, very very amazing. Back to the unconvincing aspects, first of all, this guy is obviously obseesed with all his "contacts" and clearances and questions and hogwash. Also, I might add he wasted my time with accounts of people with obvious mental problems. I dont need to here that stuff. If you've read it and your not nuts, you know what I'm talking about, the side effect type stuff, hypnosis by the government on these people to erase or alter their memory, and encounters with aliens, and sometimes just normal gov. people who just so happen to be able to look at them with their crazy catlike diamond eyes that pierce them and read their mind and answer them before they say anything and also tell them not to go to a certain meeting which they didn't tell anybody, notice my disinterest-like rambling. Trust me it's just a portion of the completly unbelievablness of this book. I strongly have a personal feeling that the chances of their being extraterrestrial life in that vast outerspace, intelligent life, to be not just a chance but acceptable. I question though many parts of the whole alien concept, ufo's??, why do they need to fly around in the first place, for fun?, I don't know, especially here where people can see them, they obviously have not contacted us, or at least as a whole, so why fly where we can see them? Concern for them and the government to outright let society know, definetly understanable by me, if everyone one on this world were reasonable people, things would be a lot more different. If you haven't ever read content of this sort, do it. it's very interesting if your a ufo nut, proceed to be a nut.
