Silva has come up with another winner, how many is that in a row now? James Fitzpatrick has once again given the listener an "A Plus" in quality, selection and entertainment. What "Alien Invasion" does is step back in time to the '50s bringing us up to the '90s with some of the most sought after scores ever to grace the tube and big screen. This album is full of classic scores that would take a "film score" collector time and money to collect.

A stand out is the opening track on disc one - "MARS ATTACKS" (Danny Elfman), Elfman gives you the musical effect of those ever popular '50s corny sci-fi films. Another highlights is on disc two - "STARMAN" (Jack Nitzsche) is actually better than the original synthesized version.

The City of Prague Philharmonic is without a doubt, the number one orchestra on film scores. This double CD set contains top notch arrangements, with the Crouch End Festival Chorus and their extraordinary performances. This album would be an outstanding addition to any film score collection!

This set of CDs is excellent with backgound information and descriptions of each song/suite.

It's well organized and the sound is suberb

Get yourself an HDCD player and buy this 2-CD release. This is what is possible from digital audio if care is taken in recording and mastering. Right now I think this is the finest quality CD I own.

This two disc set is one of my favorites. For anyone who enjoys thrilling movie themes, this offers a great variety from all sorts of composers.
