This review is from: The Alien Jigsaw Researcher's Supplement (Paperback)

Kay Wilson's 1993 `Researchers' Supplement' to her earlier book `The Alien Jigsaw' is a meticulously documented and forensically detailed examination of trends and patterns in her abduction accounts which employs spread sheets and relational data tables as well as standard prose, in an attempt to categorise and formulate the precise nature of the phenomenon. The author says in the introduction:

"...in order to gain a complete understanding of a particular case, it is important to review all aspects...sometimes detailed information must be omitted for reasons of conciseness, readability and cost...it is my sincere hope that this supplement makes a positive contribution not only to abduction research, but to the health and well-being of abductees as well."

The 124 pages divide into five sections covering the relationship of the menstrual cycle to abduction incidents for female abductees (with both actual recorded and inferred dates); descriptions of buildings, locations and vehicles; physiological and psychological effects; control by abductors; symbols and unusual writing reported and reconstructed; and the full transcription of hypnosis sessions (which the author has occasionally used as a memory retrieval tool to supplement her excellent conscious recall) - and this list is not exhaustive. She packs a lot in.

As with `The Alien Jigsaw' this book is not really for those unfamiliar with the phenomenon, but rather for those well-read in the field who want to get into this kind of nuanced detail. As usual with Katharina's writing the editing is excellent and the result a highly professional piece of work: it's an honest, sincere and valuable contribution to the stock of knowledge about the phenomenon.

If you can't find or don't want to buy your own copy, you can download the content from the author's website for free. She's obviously not doing any of this for the money.
