Editorial Reviews

Award winner Donald Sutherland joins Academy Award¨ nominee Chief Dan George in this tale based on a true story. Alien Thunder vividly recounts the adventures of a feisty Indian named Almighty Voice (Gordon Tootoosis) and a powerful Northwest Mountie named Dan Candy (Donald Sutherland), when a Canadian mountie becomes a driven hunter, and then desperate prey, when he tries to track down the Indian who killed his partner (Kevin McCarthy). Now see it for the first time, in widescreen, from an HD master made from the original camera negatives.

Very poor quality copy of the original movie. Very grainy and hard to see, but the worst part is the parts that are lost due to the film jumping forward and leaving gaps. This fact alone makes it difficult to watch and follow the story line. I saw this movie years ago at the theater and enjoyed it very much but watching this copy was a real dissapointment. Don't know if there is a better copy out there but I'll keep looking in the hopes I'll find one. Didn't spend a lot on this but what I did spend is wasted.

It's very dark. You can hardly see or hear anything. It's a complete waste of my money. I felt I was cheated.

Oh, the cover was printed very well.

The video was hard to watch and the audio was poor. I attempted to watch this movie for about 10 minutes. I shut it down only to watch another video with the same problems.

Too bad they clipped the side screen.

The message? Once again central government takes on a local matter to make it bigger matter. The Government made it a clash of civilization.... for their own design.

Does Ferguson, MO ring a bell? How about Trayvon Martin?

The low information yutes seem to overshadow the concept of drama/message versus of current media technology. My complements to the makers of this movie.

A stupid and poorly produced story about a turn of the last century hippy-type, portrayed by Donald Southerland, a la "Burning Bridges" tank commander.
