4.0 out of 5 stars AvP SNES April 3, 2009

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
1st I'll say this in no way has anything to do with the the arcade game that was made by Capcom this is by Activision and this game was made in 1993 AvP arcade came out in 1994 both beat em up's 2 totally different stories. This game was quite good and you basically go around and beat up Aliens fight Guardian Aliens some I've never seen before but hey the newer Alien vs Predator games tend to add there own Alien Guardians. Some of the the bosses like the Alien Queen are cheap. Not a great beat em up but still pretty good. Better than the JAG version where everyone including the Predator and Alien is in first person view.

5.0 out of 5 stars The battle continues... December 16, 2011

Love this game! First of all i have to say that this version of alien vs predator is NOT a port of that awesome capcom arcade game from the mid 90s...however, this version is a welcome addition to the snes library and is worth checking out..

you play a predator in new shanghai who is on a quest for the ultimate trophy...guess what that is ? ALIENS! there are lots of xenomorphs to hunt down..this is button mashing at its finest. the screen is literally filled with aliens.. whats there not to like?

the predator has all his tools of the trade..from his gauntlet, spear, the smart disc, the shoulder mounted blaster..its all here

the bosses are huge..and are pretty easy to defeat..once you discover their pattern. the graphics here are excellent for the snes...and still hold up pretty well to this day(2011)

if your a fan of old school beat em ups and these film creatures its a no brainer..

3.0 out of 5 stars basic 2-d October 25, 2010

a basic 16-bit 2d adventure button masher. the only real way to advance through the stages is to tap one of the two attack buttons. graphics aren't impressive and "cut scene" story lines are (like most s-nes games) are as stale as frozen bagels. rather mediocre, compared to other games of same category.

this game is old but it is still awsome the concept of the two most awsome movie villans goin agents each other is just un herd of for 1993
GRAPHICS: for super nintendo(SNES) the graphics are ok.abit glitchy though.
SOUND: the sound basicaly is ok but needed some work. instead of pow and boom it was pooofffff and booofff and kkkkssshhh
GAMEPLAY: this is what kills this game. the gameplay [is bad]!!!using 3 buttons for the entire game gets boring fast there is one button that does everything for offense you can only punch!
SUM IT UP: the game did ok iv seen better. if i were you i would buy it used for a cheaper price!

4.0 out of 5 stars Let the battle of the uglies begin! May 14, 2012
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I really like this video game in some strange ways. Not because it has awesome graphics (graphics are ok) amazing controls (controls are choppy) and cool music (for a game with an SNES soundchip its ok) but this game still rocks. I remember when I was very young I saw it at some video rental place and then I tried it. I am a huge fan of both the ALIENS and the Predator characters, so I was pleased by that. This game is almost like Maxximum Carnage as its a beat'em up game, but you fly solo through out it being only one player. You have spears, throwing Discs, wrist blades, and of course your legendary shoulder cannon. There is a trick to beating the hordes of ALIENS that attack you through out this game, and once you figure out the right attack combinations your all set. The levels are pretty long and the bosses are one of the coolest facet of the game, they look like the figures from the ALIESN action figures from back in the day. Though, I did say this game had a few flaws, like choppy controls, the graphics were kinda cheap and not very impressive, and the music in some of the levels was cool but had a very cheesey sound in some of the stages. Still a great game and one of the best on SNES.
