5.0 out of 5 stars The nature of the Aliens
This book deals with a somewhat less than stable scientist trying to decipher the genetic code of the Alien race. This is nothing new, but nevertheless, this is one of the best graphic novels in the series. The artwork is good, and the characters are very well played out.

I really enjoyed the read, and recommend this graphic novel to all fans of the Aliens series!

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor graphic comic

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor graphic comic, October 22, 2010
This review is from: Aliens Volume 6: Rogue Remastered (Aliens (Dark Horse)) (Paperback)
This series of collected stories is hit and miss.

In this volume 6, the plot outline starts off rather promisingly (which Alien story doesn't?). Mad scientist tinkers with Alien DNA mixed with human DNA to create new hybrid. The resultant fight scene between the hybrid rogue alien and the queen is not interesting, with the rogue being bested. Then the queen finishes off the mad scientist. So what was the point of this again?

Meanwhile a side plot has some disgruntled marine grunts and disillusioned space junkies join forces to shoot at aliens crawling out of the ship's hull at every turn.

The confusing melee is not helped by rather poor drawings and jagged pencilwork.
