About the Author
The author/co-author of 43 books, Brad's wife, Sherry Steiger, an ordained minister with a special interest in UFOs in the Bible and world religions, began working closely in 1985 with Dr. J. Allen Hynek, official scientific advisor for the U.S. Air Force's twenty-year study of UFOs. Sherry served as his publicist, and confidante at his nonprofit UFO research organization in Phoenix until his death in 1986. This position made her privy to unpublished research and more than 80,000 documented cases from 161 countries.
For many decades, the Steigers have researched and investigated UFOs and their cultural impact throughout world history, and they have lectured and conducted seminars on the phenomenon throughout the United States and overseas. Sherry and Brad were featured in twenty-two episodes of the television series Could It Be a Miracle? Together, their television appearances and specials include: The Joan Rivers Show, Entertainment Tonight, Inside Edition, Hard Copy, Hollywood Insider, and specials on HBO, USA Network, The Learning Channel, The History Channel, and Arts and Entertainment (A&E), among others. They appear frequently as guests on numerous domestic and international radio talk shows.

There are NO photos of UFO's in this new book, only photos of the authors, J. Allen Hynek, a supposed MIB, and the contributors. Rather, the book is full of weird drawings of fictional aliens. Also, there are no footnotes anywhere (a characteristic of Steigers' books, unfortunately). There are pages and pages of reports submitted to the Steigers by readers or callers, none of which can be looked into or verified. I guess that we are expected to believe every one of these reports!
In all fairness to the authors, this books seems to be a sort of primer for people who know nothing about UFO's. Apparently, it is meant to be part of a series of books about such topics as miracles, secret societies, ghosts, monsters, vampires, zombies, werewolfs, etc., to list the keywords found in their most recent book titles. I guess that they forgot that they once wrote a good book about UFO's and that people such as myself might be expecting something similar or better. So, if you are someone who has read many books about UFO's over the years, you will be very disappointed with this one, as you will not learn anything new here.

cannot approach the phenomenon from a short term point of view.
The best prospectus would be as an alien astronaut hovering far above the earth looking down at its multitude of rivers, streams, inlets and tributaries. Likewise, only a veteran of the "UFO wars" can hope to understand the dozens and dozens of twists and turns that this mystery has confronted us with since the first modern day "flying saucer" sighting by Kenneth Arnold. There is no single -- or simple -- answer to this puzzle, and so the jigsaw eludes us as we continue to move the pieces about on the matrix board someone, or something else, has constructed for us. A neophyte can easily get lost in the maze of reports, landings, abductions, men in black encounters, cattle mutilations, trips to Mars, and government cover-ups. Its overwhelming, time consuming, and seems to lead to nowhere. You need more than a compass let me tell you that from years of experience as editor of UFO Universe and other nationally sold magazines on the topic.
Brad Steiger is that veteran, the General Patton of these "UFO Wars," who from his lofty position of forty plus years of UFO research, can manage to sort out at least some of the riff from the raff, the hoi from the polloi, and give us various answers that elude the most sincere but undereducated younger UFOlogist. This is best shown throughout the pages of Real Aliens, Space Beings, And Creatures From Other Worlds (Visible Ink, May, 2011)
One never knows when they will be the next to find they are staring all alone into the eyes of the unknown. Having read how others handled extreme events can only help the rest of us be prepared for a day it may happen to us.
I think this is one book all of us need to read

Co-authored with Sherry Steiger, this 354-page tome takes readers on a meet-and-greet with intergalactic (or home-grown!) visitors of every type and description. There are the Blonde Nordics that look like us, the Reptilians that look like big lizards, and the robots that look like all sorts of things. There are creatures that want to probe us, some that seek to enlighten us and others that appear to view us as breeding stock. All of this unwanted attention begs the question: why are they so interested in humanity? The remainder of the book explores the unsettling possibilities.
Although the Steigers provide plenty of firsthand accounts of encounters with UFOs, abductions and other human-alien interactions, I like the chapters that interface with little-known historical details best. My favorite is titled Nazis and the Aldebaran Aliens. It illustrates the amazing lengths - including outer space -- der Fuhrer and his Nazi minions would go to in their quest for world domination. As it turns out, Hitler not only believed in aliens but coveted alien propulsion systems to the point of obsession. According to the Steigers' research, part of Hitler's plan involved highly trained psychics working in secret societies. The psychics said they received plans from aliens to make saucer-type vehicles that some say actually worked until rival aliens stopped them. The very complex story left me wondering how much we really know about our own history.Read more ›
