Awful,
This review is from: Aliens / Witchblade / Darkness / Predator: Mindhunter (Paperback)
I own the so-called first part of this wreck, OVERKILL, and that, along with the fact that I colled DARKNESS & WITCHBLADE made me buy this one. MINDHUNTER is just horrible. The drawing is not bad, but the story... wait! Which story? Because... was it all happening on their minds? Were they actually on the shio? What was the matter with the aliens and the predators? What was that talk about Earth on the future being populated by aliens and it being because of Pezzini? Why did Jackie had to go along? I just found myself "reading" a story that didn't make any sense but for the fact that hey were inside a space ship... or maybe it was all happening on their minds... and they were hunted by aliens and an evil hologram. Something like that.

Comic writing at its worst,

Mindhunter is a perfect example of why comics have never really been accepted as a legitimate form of art. The artwork isn't bad, but the writing and story are absolute rubbish. From beginning to end, I had trouble just figuring out what the heck was going on. It's a struggle to connect the logic from one frame to the next. It's as if the writers just decided to throw in every sci-fi cliche they could think of and hoped it all worked out in the end. This book is supposed to be a sequel to Overkill, the first book featuring the Darkness, Witchblade, Aliens and Predator, but there is no continuity at all between the two books. The only reason one should buy Mindhunter (even the title doesn't make sense) is if you have to have all the books featuring your favorite character. Otherwise, save your money. Well, I suppose if you're interested in seeing Sara Pezzini in her weakest and most pathetic form, that would be another reason to pick it up. My advice: steer clear.

Awful, yech!,
This review is from: Aliens / Witchblade / Darkness / Predator: Mindhunter (Paperback)
I don't know much about Darkness or Witchblade. And I didn't learn too much about them from this. What I did learn is that David Quinn wrote a story that was awful from beginning to end. I still can't figure out what happened. Was it all in their minds? Were the Aliens being mind-controlled? WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ON???
Terrible.

They have to team up again!,
By Huntress Reviews (United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Aliens / Witchblade / Darkness / Predator: Mindhunter (Paperback)
Sarah's Witchblade and The Darkness are as different as night and day. However, they must team up with bizzard murders happen. Unknown to them though, the Predators are playing with them. Who will/can win? My only real gripe is that it needed to be just a little longer to smooth out the edges of the story more. Reviewed by Detra Fitch. |
