Very funny album. Most of the people are really looking as the originals: must be a lot of work. Thank you Alison

I think she has a great sense of humor. I love the composition of the photographs. It's a great book.

She has some really good look-a-likes in this book and it's quite amusing. Just buy it knowing it's not real. But good for a laugh.

Sigh,
This review is from: Alison Jackson: Confidential (Hardcover)
Interesting concept, poor execution. With the exception of one or two photos, all of them are rank amateur shots. It is unfortunate that some photogs can become famous with gimmicks, Spencer Tunnick being an example. To quote Getrude Stein, "there's no there there."

Alison Jackson has been peddling the same gag for over a decade now through the "funnies" section of the Sundays and even briefly on UK TV. As a meme it's pretty stale by now. Yes, one gets the idea, you look twice because (hopefully) you think for a moment it's a real photograph. Then you see it's not. The manner in which this stuff is presented is intended to create the impression you're looking at some kind of fine art, rather than an endless series of samey photographic novelties. Hmmm. Still, this would probably make a nice Christmas present for the right person - a Media Studies undergraduate with learning difficulties perhaps.

Not original,

Anybody can make fun of famous people...it's not hard and it's not original. So Alison - better luck next time.
