This review is from: Alive in 85 (Audio CD)
Back in 1985, Relix Records released two Kingfish albums Kingfish( 1973 to 1980) and this one. In 1988 both were released on cd for the first time as Double Dose. Unfortunately, as was the case at the time, a song was cut (40 Days and 40 Nights) to fit it all on one cd even thought it was listed on the cd cover. There were a few other problems with that version as well. In 1991, Relix went back and released each one on it's own. Unfortunately, 40 Days and 40 Nights wasn't put back on the release. The other 1985 Kingfish album had a bonus hidden instrumental track called Juke which is what appears where 40 Days is listed as appearing.

40 Days was a major highlight of the band's shows at the time and this version featured then guitarist Garth Webber being joined by original guitarist Robbie Hoddinott which went off into a great jam. Unfortunately, you will not find this on any of the cd versions of this album. The tune also brought the album's running time up to about 35 minutes which wasn't too bad in the days of vinyl but now with Juke in it's place, the disc checks in at only just over 28 minutes.
