Worth it,
This review is from: Alive 2: The Final Evolution (Paperback)
I've read a lot of really good manga as well as a lot of mediocre manga as well as lots of stuff in between. I thought that this rated on the high side, although it didn't do as well as Ares (not yet released in U.S. yet), ID the Greatest Fusion Fantasy (also not released in U.S.) or Shin Angyo Onshi. The story is original, which is always a plus. For those of you who have ever read a manga written as fight scene - power up - fight scene - power up, this isn't it.
It starts a little bit slow, but once you get sucked in you can't help but wonder what's going to happen. That's why I'm sitting here waiting for the next volume...

It had some good and interesting concepts, but it just was a really emo-kids with powers story that I've read a lot before, and the writing and art weren't anything to pick back up once you've laid it down for a while. :(
