"Alive and Lubricated" is an exquisite example of comedy at its finest, offering truth and insight as a creative portrayal of common life. Craftily produced, using subtle allusions, and technical and creative components, the Butler Brothers have created an intelligent and witty comedy of manners. Complete with racy love scenes, a drunken dance sequence, and hilarious metaphorical sports references, "Alive and Lubricated" is every man's fantasy film and every woman's opportunity to feel great and laugh whole-heartedly, returning the genre of comedy to its true intention. The Butler Brothers should truly be applauded in their success of returning deeper elements, such as wit and intellect into the presently parched genre of comedy with this anything but mainstream film. With an enjoyable and well-selected soundtrack and a host of highly-quotable one-liners "Alive and Lubricated" is without a doubt a soon-to-be household favourite.

Great Story. Great Characters. Multi million dollar budgets have nothing to do with making a great movie. With this release from Substance Productions, they have proved that Independent films are a cut above. After viewing this movie, I went to their website and noticed another release 'BUMS'. I loved their movies so much that I bought them and cannot stop watching them. Can't wait to see what else these guys come up with!

I recently bought A&L. As far as indie films go, A&L is unlike any other film I've seen. Highly motivational to watch before going out on the weekends. Brutally honest dialogue and characters you can relate to. Excellent film.

DIY movie so hip, it's one of the coolest movies I've seen! These guys put together a classic so poignant, so stylish, it was ahead of its time! The Toronto indie scene gets a shot in the arm with Alive and Lubricated, not to mention a punch to the face and a kick to the balls! You gotta watch this flick with some buddies and some booze cause afterward, you're gonna head down to the clubs, find the most beautiful girl in the joint and be the smoothest guy she's ever met. You can thank the Butlers afterward...

'Alive and Lubricated' pays brutal respect to the state of the male psyche. With clever references to films such as 'Pulp Fiction' and 'Top Gun'; a great soundtrack and real issues; the laughs are a great bonus.

I highly recommended this film to anyone cool (or intrigued with coolness)and hope that the Butler brothers continue with the quality substance they create. Just try to count the beers consumed in this film.
