Shihad return,
By Robert (Adelaide, South Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Alive (Audio CD)
After going back to their original name, it seems as though their style has also reverted back. The new single Alive, which is to be featured on their upcoming album entitled 'Love Is The New Hate', uses heavier riffs which older Shihad fans are accustomed to. I saw Shihad when they toured in February this year and it was great see the amount of energy that they brought into (playing) Alive.
The other tracks aren't bad. 12XU is a cover, Blah Blah Blah is a faster & heavier track than Alive and the single finishes up by showing the slower side in Shihad with Hear Me. I know it goes from one extreme to another, but my favourite tracks would be Alive and Hear Me. The additional clips aren't to enthralling, but worth a watch for the insight into the track. |
