Those who know the albums Jay delivered with Gene Loves Jezebel will notice a difference when they listen to Jay playing as a solo artist. Notwithstanding that, this is a nice album that is worth its price. I recommend it.

Jay Aston left the hugely successful UK group, Bucks Fizz, in 1985, and as a court-ruled consequence was prevented from recording anything for many years. However, this perenially popular female (many fans will tell you Jay was the real star of Bucks Fizz) has brought out a CD which will not only surprise former fans, but introduce her to a more grown-up, appreciative adult audience. Whilst Jay may have been in one of the top-100 selling groups in the UK ever, she has not rested on her laurels. This is no 80s-throwback pop. Deeply personal lyrics on some tracks will lead you to consider this once-teenage pin-up in a different light, whilst the feel-good factor brought on by the track 'Everlasting Love' will make you throw your arms in the air and jump around your house. Try this and see - I did and I haven't looked back! |
