This absolutely delightful DVD is found by searching MUSIC at Amazon, not DVD. It's a companion to the CD of the same name, which I also bought so that I could listen to the music in my car and elsewhere.

I cannot describe the supreme happiness this DVD gives me. It pays to watch it more than once.

The disc can be played in any region. It has high-definition video, and Dolby Digital, DTS 5.1, and stereo audio tracks. DVD extras include new footage of Alizée's concert rehearsals, the making of her video, and her trip to Japan.

Although my initial buy was of this $15.99 "En Concert" that showed track listing and image of the DVD (which was what I was hoping for - the DVD), I received the audio CD instead. I've heard some folks have had success getting the DVD via the this "En Concert". I asked customer service to confirm the DVD and they replied that it was also the audio CD of "En Concert", even though the ASIN are different. Go figure (it's probably which ever rep happens to work your order). So, I myself will be buying the actual DVD off Amazon.fr (Amazon France) and not take the risk again.
Update: I placed an ordered thru Amazon.fr, for the DVD, on Feb. 26 and received my order on March 8 via international courier. Awesome! If you are interested in this method, you can check out her American fan site (just Google "Alizee America") on how-to-order thru Amazon.fr. You pay in Euro's, so check the currency exchange rate. Also note, your current Amazon account works on Amazon.fr too (at least it was for me). ;)

I enjoyed this concert DVD, the sound and picture were very good. However, this is not an all region DVD as stated in the description. This was not a problem for me as I have a region free player.

I just finished watching this DVD for the umpteenth time since purchasing it last October, and I got inspired to write a review.

Alizée En Concert is, in a word, amazing. Let me count the ways:

1. Alizée's voice is soothing and seems to have a mature tone for someone her age (she was 18-19 when this was recorded). Also, she has an impressive vocal range.

2. The musicians are fantastic, and she has great onstage chemistry with them.

3. She's a skilled, confident dancer (she started lessons at just four years old).

4. Her stage presence is wonderful. She interacts well with the crowd and sings her songs with plenty of feeling, especially the ballads. She's definitely not a star that merely goes through the motions onstage - she puts her whole heart into it. I can't even understand French, yet some of her performances send chills up my spine.

Honestly, five stars isn't enough for this concert. If I could give it 100, I gladly would. I've been a huge fan of Alizée for a year, and this was one of the things that got me hooked on her music. My advice? If you like Alizée even a little bit, get this. You will NOT regret it.

What an entertaining concert with a sumptuous stage and beautiful lighting, all wonderfully filmed with top-notch camera work and great sound recording! Graced with captivating dance numbers and supported by a group of world-class musicians, dancers and back-up singers, Alizée drowns me in one catchy melody after another, gratifying my soul with her mesmerizing performance, delighting my ears with her sultry voice and feasting my eyes with her angelic face. A bientôt, Alizée!

Alizee En Concert is only the 4th concert DVD I have purchased in my entire life, I'm 29. The other 3? All Laura Pausini. Therefore making her actually the 2nd artist I have bought a concert DVD of. Alizee is quickly becoming one of my favorite artist, and I don't understand French yet. This is a great concert DVD, proving the Alizee can perform live. Concert runs about 90 minutes and consist of 17 songs. New Alizee fans will love it. She is a great soft performer, and the concert shows off her voice. Welcome to the wonderful world of Alizee...caution you may never find your way back!...lol...Enjoy

Amazon's product description said NTSC for the DVD, but in fact it is PAL system. Need multi-system DVD player in order to play this DVD.

after recieving the alizee in concert dvd last month Ive probably watched it at least twice a day....after purchasing her cds I got the live concert dvd.....she is simply the most amazing performer Ive have ever witnessed..........I always said if you want to know if someone is truly talented check out there live performance ...to all the people out there if your only going to buy one live performance dvd this is the one.. great from begining to end...she sings in almost every concievable style all effectively I might add..not only can she sing like nobody else her stage presence is breathtaking and trance inducing....also she is very beautiful....I can go on praising her for hours and I do at her fan forums...she is truly unique get this dvd and be prepared to be addicted!!!!

I agree, it is one of the greatest concert DVDs ever made, and I want to give a few technical details on it.

There are two official versions of this DVD available, the PAL (European Version) and the NTSC (North American Version).
This is the PAL version, which is the one you want. It is a anamorphic widescreen (16:9) dual-layer DVD. It's basically the highest quality video you can get on a DVD. It also has BOTH Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 soundtracks, which are very well-mixed and sound fantastic. The only downside to this version is you need to play it back on your computer or a PAL DVD player.

The NTSC version will play back on any DVD player... but it's really bad. It was released by Universal in a rush after Alizee unexpectedly got popular in Mexico around 2006-8. It's non-anamorphic widesceen single layer DVD.. basically the worst quality possible. It also only has 2 channel stereo sound. Rather than get this, get the good PAL version, and buy a PAL DVD player here on Amazon if you need to. They cost between $25 and $50.

The video and audio editors who put this together did a masterful job. I've seen a lot of great concert DVDs, but this one stands out. It was created by putting together clips from a bunch of different concerts, but unless you are watching for it, you would never know, that is how seamless the video and audio editing is. Alizee is a great performer, and really puts out lot of positive energy. I don't know if she will ever do anything like this again, but I'm glad we have this wonderfully preserved memory of these fine performances!

el dvd es muy bueno, mucha calidad en el sonido y la imagen, aparte alizee se ve preciosa y canta fenomenal. el unico problema es que el dvd no se puede tocar en cualquier aparato. en mi caso tuve que verlo en mi computadora, pero la verdad que vale la pena
