Moving On and On,
By Jonny Miller (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: On And On (Audio CD)
"On And On" relies heavily on the sonic formula so apparent in All-4-One's first two albums, simplistic pop tunes in mid-tempo and honey-dripping love ballads. While there is not much to hate, disappointment does set in halfway through this latest effort due to repetition -- each track sounds packaged for the singles chart rather than a talent and creative showcase ("I Cross My Heart" is the biggest offender). However, all is not hopeless. "On And On" shines in several corners, including the delightful "Smile Like Mona Lisa" and the Motown-spirited "No Doubt," "Until You Go," a "Cool and the Gang"-blended disco love groove, and the understated ballad, "Time to Come Home." But, perhaps, the best track (and most surprising) is "How to Love Again," a convincing, soulful trance wrapped in Delious's vocals. Is this the return of R&B? No, but there is no doubt All-4-One is talented enough to bring it back.

Somewhat of a disappointment,
By A Customer
This review is from: On And On (Audio CD)
I had been anticipating the release of their new CD for a while, but I personally was a little disappointed. Although there were some great songs (I will be right here, I cross my heart) All 4 One had too many upbeat songs and not enough of the slower love ballads that got them to the top. A good CD, but not their best work.

Great CD,

When people buy a brand new CD, it's usually for 1 song, maybe 2 or 3 at the MOST... They always deliver with several songs that are smash hits and other songs that you can really enjoy.

The Best by ALL-4-One so far!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: On And On (Audio CD)
I just love these guys, and this albums is by far THE BEST of their three previous albums. I love listening to soft songs that also carry rich harmonies, and this album has it all! "Time to Come Home" is a masterpiece, besides ofcourse "Smile like Mona Lisa", and the very decorative acappella "Fear no more". If you like and have albums by other groups like BSB, 98 Degrees, Boyzone, Boyz II men your collection will never be complete without this one!! A must have for R&B Lovers!!

I HAVE THE PROMO CD FOR ON AND ON. AS USUAL ALL 4 ONE COMBNES TRUE HARMONY AND SOUL INTO THIS ALBULM. WHILE ALL THE WORK IS EXCELLENT, THE SLOW SONGS ARE THE CLASSICS!!! IF I HAD TO PICK ONLY ONE SONG ON THE ALBULM AS THE BEST SELECTION IT WOULD HAVE TO BE SMILE LIKE MONA LISA. THIS MUSIC CAPTURES YOUR HEART AND SOUL AND TAKES YOU ON A MUSICAL ESCAPADE AS NEVER BEFORE.ANYONE WHO HAS ANY ALL 4 ONE INFO, ATTENDED ANY RECENT CONCERTS, OR WHO IS JUST A TRUE FAN PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

All-4-One IS THE BEST 4 MAN GROUP OUT THERE!,
By A Customer
This review is from: On And On (Audio CD)
In a music world filled with 4 man groups, I really do rank All-4-One at the top. Even above the mighty BoysIIMen. I can't listen to an entire cd of BoysIIMen because there are only a few songs that really catch your ear but All-4-One albums are a perfect blend of good song writing and the groups musical talent...the result is the most romantic albums ever put together by a group. In my opinion their vocals are stonger than BoysIIMen and their songs and harmony are more romantic than ColorMeBadd. Dru Hill, 112, 98 Degrees, and other immitations all fall short. I've waited for "On and On" for a long time and it was worth it. "Smile like Mona Lisa" and "I will be right here" are among two of my many favorites on this cd. I did miss "Someday" and "Turn to you" though, from Hunchback and SpaceJam. There are few groups that I can just buy their cd without even hearing a single song because I know that their work is always quality. "On and On" is an excellent cd and I highly recomend it. I just wish All-4-One would put out more video tapes of their concert performances and music videos.
