Both of my daughters (ages 9 mos. and 4 years) are captivated by this video. It has the Sesame Street format - moving from segment to segment, with rhyming couplets and video clips about mama kodiak bear and her cubs, to daddy seahorse giving birth to baby seahorses (among others), interspersed by informative conversations between muppet-type animals in the canopy of a rain forest, and portions with an animated flamingo. The educational rhymes are nice without being overbearingly cutsie. The video clips are great - my older daughter and I especially like the jellyfish with classical music accompaniment. The songs teach about letters and numbers, too, but subtly - without interrupting the pleasing flow and animal theme. The skits are salted with light humor, too. It strikes the perfect balance between entertainment and education. I am going to buy the whole series, having seen this one!

You and your children will love this video! Not only is it full of terrific footage of various baby animals but also contains interesting characters, games and songs. It moves along at a pace that is suitable for small children and is a great learning tool as well.

I bought the video on a lark after seeing it on Amazon. Thankfully, my child loves it and I can hear him laughing at certain parts from across the hall. Worth the investment. Pictures are beautiful, and the tape teaches young children while entertaining them.

A great combination of informative animal facts and entertaining animal footage. My 3 and 1 year old love this video. There are several songs (that aren't annoying, honest!)and lots of good footage of baby animals in the wild. I highly recommend this video and probably will purchase the whole set.
