5.0 out of 5 stars I give you "BENJAMINS", you give me funny!
Here is a movie that you don't have to take seriously to have a good time. Here is a movie that you don't have to take seriously to have a good time. Epps is no Chris Tucker, but he's also not afraid to go the distance, and that is what makes his appearances memorable. This time around, Mike portrays a con-artist with more on his plate than his latest scam. Not only is he being chased by Cube, but he makes the mistake of stumbling onto a murder involving 26 million dollars in diamonds. On top of that, he loses his wallet with the killers. Scary enough they know where you live, but what if the wallet contained a lottery ticket that your girlfriend paid for with her hard earned money, and it hit for sixty million? Throughout this flick, both actors looked like they were having a ball. If your looking for a load of comedy mixed with a little mayhem, this could be for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars I couldn't stop laughing!!, August 25, 2002
This film is one of the funniest films I have seen all year. Ice Cube and Mike Epps work so well off of each other. Every scene they shared had a little something different to make us laugh. It's not like most buddy comedies where they take one funny idea and play it out making the film boring. These two will having you laughing from beginning to end!
And speaking of the beginning of the film, we get a great performance from my favorite actor, Anthony Michael Hall. Now I can honestly say I've seen AMH do it all. We finally get to see AMH play a trashy trailer park thuggin' blackish red hair sportin' ex-con with a flare for using the current slang like "cheese". " You don't get no real cheese anyway.."
" BABY! Get his ... baby, get him! Shoot that motha' ...! "

And I must say Ice Cube found a very clever way to use a tazer when trying to subdue Lil' J (AMH) This movie is non-stop laughs! Mike Epps is so goofy and it mixes so well with Ice Cube's hard core visage!
This movie is worth buying! It's a great film to watch with friends! Throw a party and have this movie handy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great action-comedy, June 3, 2002
By A Customer
I thought this movie was hilarious. Mike Epps and Ice Cube are a good team in this movie, combining comedy with action. I recommend this to own on DVD. Judging by the previews I thought this movie was going to be about another action heist resulting in a lot of money at the end, but to my surprise, Mike Epp made me and the whole theater laugh from beginning to end.

Tell them about the Benjamins Baby"

What's it about? Trying to stop some criminals responsible for a Diamond heist. There's a bounty hunter, Bookman (Ice Cube) who wants to open his own PI firm so he can make more money. However, he needs cash for start up. So he works hard and always brings in his man. One day in the pursuit of a wanted small time con-man, Reggie (Mike Epps), he stumbles across a diamond heist forcing himself and the "criminal" to become allies. Along the way Reggie's girlfriend, Gina, and Pam, Bookman's co-worker, get involved in the pursuit of "The Benjamins".

"All about the Benjamins" just wasn't my kind of movie, without Valarie Rae Miller's presence, I wouldn't have even seen it. So perhaps my review is a little bias. "All about the Benjamins" is a comedy with elements of a caper. The movie is basically cookie cutter bad guys, bag 'em shoot em up, money (Benjamins), ice (diamonds), and Cube getting to play tough guy with a silly comedian side kick that seems to be akin to Chris Tucker (who of course made his mark with Ice Cube in Friday). Oh yeah, and a couple of girls for the guys. It's an Ice Cube movie, I didn't
really expect Oscar winning performances. It's a nice movie to rent and sit around and watch with your friends for a couple laughs. Being a Dark Angel fan, I had to support Valarie Rae's movie. I probably would have ignored the film without her. Anyway, Pam (Valarie's character) is only one of three designated girls. The other two being the villain'slove toy and Reggie's (Mike Epps) long term girlfriend Gina (Menedes). The women are downplayed, even villain's girlfriend who gets to be the only tough girl in the movie. Gina is a gutsy girl next door and Pam is ready for adventure and offering to be Bookman's partner. Villain's girlfriend (who's name is so unimportant I forgot it), despite being 'girl with attitude', went down pretty
easy and was pretty stupid in my opinion. Gina (Menedes) was amusing, mostly because the girl probably was tougher than her boyfriend Reggie the sidekick. She says several times in the movie, to her boyfriend Reggie, "baby you can't fight". But still, Gina was just there to get kidnapped. So it seemed like she was just there to keep the movie from ending early and to be the pretty thing on the bumbling sidekicks arm. However, she and Pam (Valarie) don't just sit around doing there nails, they do get to drop a couple of bad guys. However, Pam's primary importance in the film seemed to be passing on information to Bookman (Ice Cube). Since Pam actually got to be in a car chase, help rescue the kidnapped Gina, and drop some bad guys (with the help of Gina and a boat), you could say Pam saw more action than Original Cindy's seen in Dark Angel's second season. Yet I can't say the movie was great. In general though, it was a fine movie to go see for fun with a couple of laughs here and there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good fun, March 10, 2002

Once again Ice Cube delivers a funny, upbeat comedy that is terrific! The humor does not denigrate or "put down," any group. The characters are lovable, but real.

This movie [is bad]. It is a waste of time to see. Its worthless and annoying. None of its funny and Ice Cubes fame is the only reason this movie even has a chance!

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny as heck!, February 7, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This movie is so comical that it keeps you watching it by that fact alone. The plot is stupid as heck and you need popcorn to sit still watching it. Money and greed made up in a comedy is all I have to say. Since it is an old movie, that makes it worth the laugh and the movie. Good job as far as acting is concerned too. I loved it so much I saw it on cable and had to order it.
