Not worth it's price, August 3, 2004
This review is from: All About Tarot (Paperback)
This book's contents were 'recycled' into a new edition under the name 'Tarot (Ultimate Full-Color Guides)' which, as of the date of writing this review, costs the same and has the added value of color.
As far as content goes, both books are rather trivial - basic card meanings, a few spreads with examples, and a list of about a 100 tips (a tip being the meaning of combination of cards).
There are other books, such as Joan Bunning's "Learning the Tarot: A Tarot Book for Beginners" that has an accompanying web site, which do a much better job for a similar price, so I can recommend buying this book only if it's much cheaper than books like those I mentioned earlier in the review.

A Good Beginners Book, October 11, 2005
This review is from: All About Tarot (Paperback)
This book has a good overview of a lot of information- perfect for the beginner. Very read-able and not too complex, it does not require a lot of knowledge on the subject to understand this book, which is my main problem with other books on this topic.
I think this book is a good choice.
