If you dig modern jazz with innovative compositions that swing and twist unexpectedly, this is where it's at. Paul Smoker smokes (as is typical of him) and the whole band just swings and plays like a unified band that really knows/feels the music. Damon Short is long on ideas and chops, but always puts them at the service of the music (not of his ego). Very well done, recommended, voila, ole. . . .
