The Only Good Compilation,
By Man With A Mission "J Dog" (Ohizzie I-O) - See all my reviews
This review is from: All Ages (Audio CD)
The only compilation worth buying is a compilation of all old Bad Religion songs. Period. This CD mixes a variety of songs from "Suffer", "Against the Grain", "No Control", "Generator", and "How Could Hell Be Any Worse?", probably the highlights of Bad Religion's long running career. Personally, I don't think there was ever a dull moment, even with albums like "The New America", "Recipe for Hate", and "No Substance", I think Bad Religion has made every album strong and full of thought and Greg and Brett's own opinions and bits of wisdom (which they have plenty of). But that's another subject matter. "All Ages" combines a lot of great songs off of the before mentioned albums like "Generator", "Anesthesia", "Walk Away", and "Sanity". It also contains live versions of "How Could Hell Be Any Worse?" and "Do What You Want". If you've never heard Bad Religion and want a good gist of their previous albums, pick this up. If you like what you hear, definately pick up the rest. "Generator" and "No Control" have tons of songs you can't afford to miss.

Critical for Every Collection,
By Andrew Jackson Murphy (Atlanta, GA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: All Ages (Audio CD)
All Ages is one of the most crucial compilations of punkmusic ever put together. For those who are not familiar with Bad Religion, this is the CD to get first! Songs such as "Against the Grain", "Do What You Want", and "Change of Ideas" embody the defiant ideology that Bad Religion has come to support over the years. Other great tracks like "21st Century Digital Boy", "Automatic Man", "Atomic Garden", and "Best For You" are representative of their sarcastic take on the modern world and its inhabitants. Do not pass this cd up if you are sick of the monotonous drone of our society or of its popular music. haha...seeya

An Outstanding Introduction To Bad Religion,
By A Customer
This review is from: All Ages (Audio CD)
I'm new to Bad Religion. I'm not an insane punk fan, but there are a few bands I enjoy from the genre, and Bad Religion caught my interest due to their name, and after checking out a few lyrics from the band I decided I was going to go out and get one of their albums. But which one to get?Well, I saw this compilation and figured it would be the best way to start. This collection is absolutely amazing, for lack of a better term. The songs are driving, well-crafted, and full of energy. The lyrics are nothing short of brilliant and are genuinely thought provoking. If you are new to Bad Religion, listen to what all the other reviewers have said and get this album first. You won't regret it. It may inspire you to go out and purchase their other albums, which is what it inspired me to do.
