Amazing... wish we had more time with him. No telling how far his music would have taken us. Rock on.

If you're into psychedelic music, this would be great to get into. The words don't make too much sense but that's secondary to who the artist is.

The Battlestar Galactica writers used this as the trigger for the 'Skin Jobs' at the finale. When I heard it as they hummed it, I too felt something weird. When I discovered it was my long lost favorite - I had to add it to my MP3's. Amazon made it easy and now it's my alarm song. Forgot how great this song is. Dylan just can't do what Jimi does to the lyrics. And, of course, Jimi's singing guitar . . .

When talking about music and someone mentions the name Jimi Hendrix, All Along The Watchtower is the tune
that comes to mind for me. Gotta have it in my collection.

Fraking Cylons are messing with me. Now whenever I hear this melody Colonel Fraking Tigh invades my thoughts, his rheumy eye glinting with insane glee as he peers at me from Galactica's rusty hold. You know, why can't Cylons be activated by a tune that is more contextually appropriate - one that is obviously at the very core of a diabolical alien plot to take over our planet, and indeed is an archetype for imprinted programming from Kobol designed to force folks to renounce their humanity, i.e., "Copacabana" by Barry Manilow.
