This is good for learning about people in history. It starts out with the early explorers and goes through the American Revolution. Gives detailed information and is not a "dumbed down" history book so you probably wouldn't find this in any public institution that over worries about "political correctness."

I bought the textbook, activity book and teacher's guide. All three pieces together have made the lessons easy to plan and teach. My children enjoy them because they are easy to understand and do not take extensive amounts of time. Having answers for the essay questions is helpful for me to focus on important points.
