This is an excellent writing of the apostles of the Bible, of what we know of them as writen,the lives,times, and ministries of the men chosen of GOD to declare His message to the world. By Dr. Herbert Lockyer.

I recomend it to those who look for exhaustive, comprehensive reference and resource material as well as helpful understanding of the lives and times of the apostles.

I found this a great resource for a small research paper and Sunday school material. Lockyer provides a different prospective on some of the apostles and presents his information in a very readable style.

The book is an excellent reference guide in understanding the Apoltles. I recommend it to anyone who wants more detail about the apostles who were with Jesus.

Everybody should read this book. It's a great resource to better understand the New Testament when one learns more about the authors of the New Testament part of the Christian Bible. Back in the mid 80's I had begun a study of the Apostles at church but then moved away. I am grateful that I found this book, an updated version of what I had before. One is never too late to learn this information. I'm 66 years young!

got this for my daughter. she is very pleased with the clarity of the information in this book. and, you know, she is pretty picky so i am very pleased, too.

Very informative. I am so please to learn more about this men of the faith.

It's one thing to disagree with some aspects of Catholicism but Lockyer takes every opportunity to spew his anti-Catholic venom... from dishonoring Mary to badmouthing the papacy to calling Peter a "bumbling" apostle.

I had ordered the "Miracles" and the "Apostles" books that he wrote. I tore them both up and trashed them.
