5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent debut, May 2, 2000

Few chorus can make both the sweet sound and correct momentum as showed here. In the booklet it is said members of this chorus are selected by the conducter from other good ones, and this is their debut recording. There is no doubt they all are elites. Their sound is clear and sweet, the interpertation is very satisfying. The only flaw is that the recording is too hollow, full of echo.

5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful collection of songs!, March 22, 2011

I bought this album for its opening song: All in the April Evening. I have very special memories of singing this in a choir as a child, in England--so it was important for me to find a good recording! So happy that this one is it! It has a very moving rendition of this lovely piece, followed by many other very nice performances of other songs--both folk and sacred--that would please any ex-pat nostalgic for their homeland, and nostalgic for that unrepeatable time of childhood innocence.
