I've always been a Bob Florence fan and I rate this on the top of my collection. I'm sure glad it isn't a vinyl record as it would be worn out by now. 'Shimmery' will thrill you!

Ok, this is famous Bob Florence, famous arranger for some vocalists action (Jack Jones, Julie Andrews). His big band is fresh and full of charisma. Here you'll find a bunch of standards including Poinciana and an extraordinary arrangement of David Raksin's 'Laura'. Memorable new material too! |
