Enjoyable
I sang along to this album for years to the chuckles of friends riding in my car. Yes, the recording did not come out clearly. Probably the songs are sometimes unique, but I loved this Hebrew music CD. I will certainly try sometime to buy the other CD's mentioned by other reviewers too.

Poor quality, poor value
This CD is of such poor quality that it really gives Israeli music a bad name. Although the choir and band are reasonably skilled, the recording quality is so bad that it is hard to tell. The entire record sounds as though this was recorded just outside the room of a Bar Mitzvah party, but using 50 year old equipment. If you're looking for good introduction to Israeli...

The entire record sounds as though this was recorded just outside the room of a Bar Mitzvah party, but using 50 year old equipment. If you're looking for good introduction to Israeli music, check out something that also contains "Yerushalyim Shel Zahav" and "Ani V'Atah."

Should be titled "All the Worst From Israel", February 17, 2001
This review is from: All the Best From Israel (Audio CD)
This is a disc that merits zero stars. I happen to love the soulful beauty of Israeli music, which prompted me to buy this CD. What source material is used here is anybody's guess, but it could have been unearthed as part of the dead sea scrolls because the sound quality is so horrendous. Furthermore, most of the music here is certainly not well known enough to warrant being titled "all the best". Painful and unlistenable, avoid this CD like the plague. I've already disposed of my copy, keeping the only thing of real value....the jewel case!

Poor CD, September 21, 2003

I happen to love Hava Nagila and bought this CD just for that song. Unfortunately, it came out sounding "canned". I have found beautiful renditions of it by Helmut Lotti and the Budapest Klezner Band. Either is a far superior choice.
