This 6-quart stockpot makes clear why All-Clad Stainless is so popular. The aluminum core retains heat and evenly distributes it along the bottom and up the sidewalls of the cookware. The stainless interior is stick-resistant and cleans easily. The magnetic stainless-steel exterior gives the cookware a gleaming finish. All-Clad Stainless also features the company’s signature "stay-cool" long handles, lids fashioned from gleaming 18/10 stainless steel, and highly durable stainless-steel rivets. Features and Benefits
All-Clad pans with a stainless interior cooking surface are oven-safe up to 500 degrees. All-Clad pans with a non-stick cooking surface are oven-safe up to 400 degrees, but should not be used under the broiler. We recommend using a low to medium temperature when cooking with All-Clad. Higher heats are not necessary and may cause discoloration (see cleaning instructions below). Other features include:

  • Pure aluminum core that not only covers the bottom of the pan but also extends up the sides. This allows for great heat conductivity as well as an even heat distribution so you won’t have "hot spots" when cooking.

  • Sturdy, non-corrosive stainless-steel rivets won't react with foods.
  • Polished stainless-steel lids fit evenly with the pan’s edges to seal in flavor of your foods.

  • The Stainless collection is dishwasher-safe, excluding pieces with a nonstick cooking surface.

From date of purchase, All-Clad guarantees to repair or replace any item found defective in material, construction or workmanship under normal use and following care instructions. This excludes damage from misuse or abuse. Minor imperfections and slight color variations are normal.

Cleaning Instructions
For daily cleaning, warm soapy water is sufficient. Clean your All-Clad thoroughly after each use. Food films left of the pan may cause discoloration and sticking. To get rid of stuck-on food or discoloration and stains from using too high of a heat, we recommend cleaning your All-Clad with a product called Bar Keeper’s Friend. To use the Bar Keeper’s Friend, simply use a soft cloth or sponge and water and make into a soupy paste. This can be used on the interior, as well as the exterior of your All-Clad (excluding the Cop-R-Chef). The Bar Keeper’s Friend can also be used on the exterior of the All-Clad Stainless collection, LTD collection, and MC2 collection. For cleaning of the Cop-R-Chef exterior, simply use a brass/copper cleaner. If your water has a high iron content, you may notice a rusty discoloration. Use Bar Keeper’s Friend to remove it.

In recent years, a professional-size 14-inch fry pan was added to the Stainless fry pan assortment, as well as several popular specialty pans, including: the small-size petite brasier with a dome-shaped lid; petite roti roasting pan; and the beautiful, large-capacity Dutch oven and French oven oval roasting pan with roasting rack. I am without doubt a huge fan of clad cookware, and especially All-Clad cookware. While anything but inexpensive, All-Clad is an example of American manufacturing at its finest. These products give class-leading performance and are built to a quality standard that few can match. I have used All-Clad cookware for many years and my experiences with their products, as well as my interaction with the company, has been absolutely stellar. Buy a pot or pan from All-Clad once and it's the last time you will ever need to make that cookware purchase because these products really will last a lifetime. If you are looking for a stock pot of the finest quality, performance, and durability, this is a great choice.

Clad cookware is literally a compromise of multiple traditional pan types because some guy was unhappy with the limitations of existing materials and decided to combine multiple elements into a single cookware build, drawing on iron's ability to evenly distribute & hold heat, aluminum's heat conducting properties, stainless steel's durability, low reactivity, & low upkeep. So enters the great compromise of clad cookware. With All-Clad's Stainless line and their MC (Master Chef) line, you get (induction-compatible) stainless on the outsides and aluminum on the inside (with All-Clad's higher end models, add copper and multiple cores.) The aluminum betters the heat transfer, and the stainless encases the aluminum for durability. Heat treat the stainless to give good impact resistance & strength to protect it from things like dents, easy-scratching, and warping, and you are left with a pot that heats relatively fast, give an even heat transfer, and has excellent durability without reactivity.

Both the 6 and 8 quart stockpots are must haves for your All Clad cookware collection. The 6 is great for sauce, a pound of lasagna or rigatoni, soup or stew and the 8 quart is a must have for my favorite meatballs that I cook in my sauce with sausage and steak. At first I didn't think I would need both but now that I do I can imagine doing all the Italian cooking that I do with out them. I can get my sauce and meatballs cooking in the 8 quart and start boiling lasagna noodles in the 6 quart. I love them both.
These pans are made very well, heat evenly, are very easy to clean and are designed to last. All Clad cookware is one of the most expensive lines around and it is worth every penny, it really is lifetime cookware (backed by a lifetime warranty). This pan is a definite must have. Very, very highly recommended! A+++!...

My wife says she loves me, and, I think it is because I let her indulge in her cravings for the best cookware around, namely, All-Clad. I hate to think about all the (so-called) "inexpensive" cookware sets I've bought in the past. Our (nearly complete) All-Clad set will last us indefinitely (and, probably, get passed down to the next generation). If you shop carefully (buying in sets, or catching the occasional sale), you can get All-Clad pieces at less-than-full-retail. One Caveat: if you happen to leave an empty pot on the stove over a full-on flame, you 'can' ruin it by plunging it immediately into cold water (yes, learned the hard way). Turn off the flame, walk away, and give it an hour or so to cool down slowly.

I got this pot to replace an old 5 quart teflon lined aluminum pot of similar shape but with plastic handles, which kept it from the oven without extraordinary measures. The old pot simply did not heat up very quickly or evenly and it's dark interior made it more difficult to see what was going on with braises or pasta cooking.

So, I was often lugging out my 8 quart Le Creuset dutch oven when the smaller lighter pot would be the perfect size, but for the plastic handles.

I have used it a few times since receiving it, and it meets every expectation, even outperforming a similarly sized 5 quart Calphalon pan which was my old favorite when I bunked with a gas range.

This is an incredibly uselfu size and shape, and worth the cost if you cook a lot.

Highly recommended.

This is the most used pot in my kitchen. I use it to cook just about everything, including soups and marinara sauces.

For a while, I had a few other brands of pots but I kept reaching for this one, so I gave away the others.

Things I like are:

*Heat distributes very evenly with no burning or hot spots. The only time I've had any burning is when I forgot and left a nearly empty pot on the burner for a few hours.
*Easy to clean. Even when I burned it to a crisp, I was able to scrape off the charred stuff and it is good as new!
*Handles are nicely shaped and convenient
*The design is simple and elegant, and a pleasure to use.

This is our fourth All Clad pot. Apart from cast iron, I wouldn't buy any other cookware at this point. Because of the wide base, this stock pot heats up *very* fast on the largest (11 inch) induction element on our cooktop--boiling water for pasta in about a minute. (If you have an induction cooktop, you do have to pay attention to which All Clad product line you are purchasing. Not all of that manufacturer's products come with magnetic stainless exteriors, but both of the high end 'stainless steel' and 'copper core' lines do.) All Clad cookware is expensive, but it is one of those product lines which confirms the maxim: 'you get what you pay for.'
