All-Clad 3020 Hard Anodized Aluminum Nonstick Double Burner Grande Griddle Specialty Cookware, Black
The All-Clad Nonstick Hard Anodized Grande Griddle makes an ideal kitchen companion when entertaining a crowd. The Grande Griddle's black, hard-anodized surface resists sticking and presents an attractive contrast to the polished stainless steel handles and rivets. The three-ply construction promotes even heat distribution, making this griddle a preferred choice for professional chefs and home cooks alike. The handles stay cool during cooking, and the channel inside the pan's raised edge collects fat and juices.
Large Surface Area Ideal for Cooking for Crowds
At 20 inches by 13 inches (L x W), the Grande Griddle can grill a dozen burgers, pancakes, eggs, or whatever else might be on the menu. The griddle sits across two burners on a standard stovetop. It features a raised edge and a small channel around the perimeter to drain fat and juices away from the food, so you can easily prepare healthful meals.
Premium Bonded Construction and Sleek Anodized Finish
Like its companion cookware in the LTD line, the LTD Grande Griddle features a charcoal-black aluminum exterior that is hard anodized to resist scratching, chipping, and peeling. The superior three-ply construction centers around a high-performance aluminum core that heats evenly and prevents hot spots, while the anodized stainless steel interior is utensil safe and non-reactive to food. The lustrous 18/10 stainless-steel handles are riveted to the griddle for lasting strength and provide 2 inches of clearance, high enough to stay cool on the stovetop and accommodate hands clad in oven mitts.
Nonstick Surface for Easy Release and Cleanup
The LTD Grande Griddle's nonstick surface allows you to cook without using butter or oils to prevent sticking. It also makes cleanup simple, as food residue comes off easily. The cooking surface is scratch resistant and utensil safe.
After years of perfecting the bonding process, company founder John Ulam established All-Clad Metalcrafters in 1971 and began producing professional-quality bonded cookware for working chefs and avid home cooks. The brand flourished as early adopters discovered the cookware's extraordinary properties and exemplary cooking performance. Today, All-Clad cookware is still handcrafted in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, with American-made steel--the same way it was four decades ago. It is widely sought after by the world's top chefs and passionate home cooks.

I use this griddle on an electric coil stove, on one large and one small burner. It heats very evenly even with the small burner, is heavy enough not to slide around while cooking, is light enough to move easily (vs. cast iron), and the non-stick surface make cleaning a breeze. It also has a grease gutter on the perimeter that can hold the griddle in place on the burner. The handles are vertical and grip extends slightly inward so it does not bang on the rear of the stove. It doesn't interfere with cooking as I thought it might.
However, the grease gutter is about 1 inch all around that subtracts from the cooking surface, making the cooking area more like 11x18 instead of the listed 13x20. The transition from the cooking surface to the gutter is rounded so pancake batter poured near the edge can run into the gutter. It would have been better if the gutter was narrower and the edge was more square, but other non-cast iron models are designed similarly.
A good-quality product that I would buy again.
If your new cooktop is a radiant type the Double Griddle should work just fine. If you have an induction type cooktop it will not perform. The reason is because is has a hard anodized exterior rather than the magnetic exterior required for induction cooktops.
Just wanted to let everyone know that there is a smooth cooktop that this will work on. I am very excited about this!
The real reason I bought this griddle is that I needed something for cooking pancakes. And this unit has two problems. The first, I've already talked about: Unless it has been scrubbed to remove the last molecule of dirt and carefully oiled (which is difficult to do because oil and butter do not always wet the surface) pancakes stick and fall apart. Washing it in the dishwasher voids the warrantee, so there's no easy dodge for this problem. The second is that the griddle is slightly domed. This is a feature, I suppose, if one uses it only for frying very fatty bacon or sausages; but thin batters and eggs just run into the gutters. Sadly, there is nothing I cook that this system of doming and gutters improves. I use this griddle once in a blue moon to cook turkey bacon, but for the small batches I cook a skillet works better. So buy it if you are in the habit of cooking greasy bacon or sausage for large crowds. But for pretty much any other kitchen task I can think of, try something else.

Love this griddle. We've used it for pancakes, toasted sandwiches, eggs, meats and stir frying. We treat it like cast iron cookware and never touch it with metal. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Janet Hale
This product scratches easily. It is also very heavy. I do not recommend this product.Published 1 month ago by Moomers
It works well but wasn't quite as big as we wanted because of the well around the edge of the pan.Published 3 months ago by S.A.W.
This was a gift from my mom and we loved it at first. Just a really really big grill surface, so much bigger than even the largest fry pan. Read morePublished 3 months ago by Hafharhrhr Amalmahay
We have used this weekly to make pancakes. It took a couple of tries to get the right heat. We have it now and this product is great. Would buy again.Published 4 months ago by thebayhouse
This has plenty of space to cook your pancakes and bacon. The handles make it easy to poor out grease collecting in the trough. I use this over a 2 burner gas stove. Read morePublished 4 months ago by elscotty
