This classic slope-sided fry pan shows how thoroughly Cop-R-Chef marries form and function. It's 10 inches in diameter, perfect for searing a hunk of halibut or hanger steak. Its polished 18/10 stainless-steel handle is secured to the pan by stainless-steel rivets for strength, grooved on the top and rounded on the bottom for comfort, and holed in the end for hanging on a hook or peg. The long handle stays cool on the stovetop but won't be harmed by an oven's highest heat. Because harsh detergents darken copper, hand washing this cookware is recommended. --Fred Brack

This is the best. If you can afford it, get it. It is a prize. It provides for "perfect frying." It could become a family heirloom. It could become one of those "they don't make them like this anymore."

I've had mine since the 1970's and it's still as beautiful as the day I got it. Great tool.

Not only does this pan look great in the kitchen, it performs wonderfully. It's a very well balanced piece with enough weight to hold heat well but not so heavy that it's a chore to use. The handle stays very cool and the concave design is great for maintaining a solid grasp.
I generally use this pan for searing meat and fish and I'm always happy with the outcome. As long as you pre-heat the pan over a low-medium flame and use enough fat, nothing ever sticks. I also find myself using a lower flame than I would with lower quality pans and still achieving fantastic results - if not better. Although the copper exterior is relatively thin, I find it distributes heat very effectively - even up the sides. Keeping the copper clean is quite easy with just a dusting of BarKeeper's Friend and a light scrub. Results are best when pan is still warm. I only bought the copper model to match my existing copper-bottomed pans and would say that if looks aren't important to you, buy the regular stainless version. I would assume it performs just as well.
