The flat whisk is ideal for sauce-making as it breaks up lumps while reaching into pan corners. The handle is unusually designed in that it is not round but flat, with a concave hollow for your thumb to rest in and a convex back around which to wrap your remaining fingers. This All-Clad whisk is heads above most any other whisk I have used. I have had it for over a year and it still looks brand new. When I first got it I thought it would be too large and cumbersome, but it fits your hand well and is easy to use.

I bought it about 4 years ago. I often use it. I wash it in the diswasher. That still looks very new. I thought that I bought it recently. In fact, s few years ago I purchased that. I beat the food with the wisky easily and stir in the pan on stove excellently.
