There used to be a product with the same branding - All Free/Clear - that was specifically labeled as being for HE washers. That product was discontinued and replaced with this one. So the question remained as to whether this would work properly in an HE washer. We had liked the original product - it left our clothes smelling fresh without smelling of detergent, didn't give our 6 year old a rash, and worked without too many soap bubbles in our HE washer. As those of you with HE washers know, if you use standard detergents, the washer often shuts down halfway through a cycle to wait for the bubbles to slowly pop...too much lather is no good for washing clothing apparently.
As it turns out, this new product is just as good (if not identical) to the old product. I fill up the washer, which takes plenty of clothes, fill up the All cap to level 2 (about half a capful), and it works perfectly. The bottles shipped without any spillage (that often wasn't the case with the older product, so perhaps the big change here is to the canister, not the content). The price point is about right and with Prime shipping, it all works out. The clothes are clean, the washer happy, and the little guy's skin is rash-free. What more can I ask for?
