5.0 out of 5 stars Essential for punks & punk fans
Three words: BUY THIS ALBUM.

This is the most grungy, simple-minded, semi-talented group you'll ever find. And there's more! The songs (including a kick-ass version of "Sweet Jane" and some other rockers that I could imagine Rockers listening to in a London roadside pub) throb ahead with a very primal thumping of bass and an intermittent power-chord. The singer sounds like a young Billy Idol (perhaps what Generation X may have sounded like in the years before their first album). The only negative thing is that the liner notes contain a reference to Green Day. Why do they even have to be mentioned? This CD blows Green Day out of the water.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential selection from the best 77 punk band, November 13, 2007
This review is from: All of Eater (Audio CD)
This is the first punk band I fell in love with, based on their four song live EP back in the day. I brought it to Japan in the fall of '78 and gave it to Nana, my protopunk older host sister, in exchange for which I got the Clash. Who got the better deal?

This record has all the songs from that fondly remembered EP and a lot more I handn't heard of before, including the great "peace and luv". The boys sound as good now as they did then.
