Essential for punks & punk fans,
By A Customer
This review is from: All of Eater (Audio CD)
Three words: BUY THIS ALBUM.This is the most grungy, simple-minded, semi-talented group you'll ever find. And there's more! The songs (including a kick-ass version of "Sweet Jane" and some other rockers that I could imagine Rockers listening to in a London roadside pub) throb ahead with a very primal thumping of bass and an intermittent power-chord. The singer sounds like a young Billy Idol (perhaps what Generation X may have sounded like in the years before their first album). The only negative thing is that the liner notes contain a reference to Green Day. Why do they even have to be mentioned? This CD blows Green Day out of the water.

Essential selection from the best 77 punk band,

This is the first punk band I fell in love with, based on their four song live EP back in the day. I brought it to Japan in the fall of '78 and gave it to Nana, my protopunk older host sister, in exchange for which I got the Clash. Who got the better deal?
This record has all the songs from that fondly remembered EP and a lot more I handn't heard of before, including the great "peace and luv". The boys sound as good now as they did then.
