All Eyes Up Here, by Dr. Tee Carr, is a practical resource, full of useful ideas and positive information for principals, Sunday School teachers, youth leaders, and especially classroom teachers. Dr. Carr offers a slew of suggestions for creating, managing, and maintaining a positive environment for children. Dr. Carr sprinkles delightful stories and anecdotes from her own teaching and administrative experiences throughout the book making it a pleasure to read. This book will inspire and rejuvenate all who work with children.

Dr. Carr has written a marvelous primer for educators, and she has provided an inside look for parents who want to know how good schools function. Especially impressive are suggestions for classroom management. The importance of establishing routines, keeping rules simple, involving pupils in classroom jobs, and setting up positive and negative consequences for misbehavior are valuable recommendations.

I liked the format of this book, which weaves in anecdotes from school and civic leaders in special boxes. "All Eyes Up Here" is a nice blend of practical ideas mixed with stories about inspirational teachers. It is a nice recipe for the busy reader.

Beginning teachers will also find excellent advice on such topics as how to interview for a position, handling stress, using time wisely, and goal-setting.

"All Eyes Up here" is interesting, fun, practical, and inspirational. Everyone involved in education should read this book.
