How many Ways Can These Songs Be Done?, September 11, 2007
This review is from: All Fired Up No Place To Go (Audio CD)
Although, I already have this on Eilleen Shania Twain, The Complete Limelight Sessions, most of what she did back then has been published to death. Most of these song also have appeared from time to time over the past several years on various editions of Eilleen Shania Twain CDs, etc. This is a very young Shania, or actually Eilleen Twain, and for a young singer and songwriter, there is no doubt about her talent. She is a very articulate songwriter and has a strong voice that she uses to mesmerize her fans on stage. She had that quality even then. Fate always plays a role in people's lives be they minimum wage workers, or world-wide superstars, and such was the case here. Without her husband's backing, it is doubtful I would be talking about Shania Twain now, who is literally known all over the world by just her first name, but at the same time, I am confident she still would have had a successful career because she was so driven in her youth to be successful. It was a combination of pleasing her parents who died before they could experience her monstrous success, and her own determination to make it big. Older and more content now with her son and family life, she has what she wants, but those songs from that time helped make her what she is today. It is just that it amazes me how these Shania oldies but goodies keep appearing every which way they can. But then Eilleen, these oldies but goodies keep reminding me of you!
