Sexy....hot.....Page-Turning Interacial Romance,
This review is from: All The Fixin' (Paperback)
I got this book when it first came as an ebook and I'm very excited that I have the chance now to purchase it as a book. Craig and Shea are a wonderful couple. Craig is the kind of Alpha male that when you first read about him has you wondering what in the hell he's doing. However, after you read further you start to understand his reasoning.
Shea is warm, sweet, kind and loving. She's a woman with a dream of owning her own business and doesn't like a handout from anyone. She has been in love with Craig for a while, but she isn't going to let her love from let him get by with some of the stuff he wants to do. I thought Shea was strong yet sensitive. Craig was stubborn because he didn't realize what he had until he almost lost it. I really loved this book and I'm very pleased I can now add it to my book collection.

This book was not very good at all. The characters were all over the place. I didn't like the hero because he seems selfish and greedy. I didn't like the female heroine, she was just TSTL (too stupid to live).
One minute he is accusing her of stealing his inheritence, then he's in love with her. I just didn't like this book.

I have a love hate relationship with this author; I really want to enjoy her books but I have yet to read one that is 1) error free (or with minimal spelling and grammar errors) or 2)has compelling characters that I want to cheer for and love.
I think that this is the last book by this author that I will read. I can't take the stiff dialogue between characters and the silly conflict that is always so predictable in her books. The alpha male never really pans out to be all that he is supposed to be and the strong heroines usually turn out to be silly and immature. I don't understand how the hero in this book can go from his utter disgust of the heroine to wanting to be with her forever in like 2 days? I am not sure how this book got 5 stars....it's that bad. Save your money.

All the Fixin Leaves Me Numb,
This review is from: All The Fixin' (Paperback)
This book was actually the last I read in Ms.Rochelle's collection that I purchased and it really was not very good. I didn't like the characters because they were confusing, whiney and boring. Their dialouge was just ridiculous,I think childish would be a better way to explain it. I really wanted to like this story because I think this writer has real potential in spite of the huge and glaring grammactical problems that exist in all the books I have read by this author. But it just didn't happen, I orignally purchased several of her books at one time because the story decriptions were very good and left you with some very high expectations, but again that proved untrue. In addition to this book I have read the Drace bother's Zack and Richard, Taken By Storm, and Dangerous Bet:Troy's Revenge and while I had high hopes and even in an earlier review of Dangerous Bet I wrote I was hopeful that Ms. Rochelle's writing would get better. I expected better character development, character's that sounded mature and through better dialogue development she would create character's that a reader would care about. Ironically, she did manage to create two interesting secondary character's in this book but they just sound dumb. Her plots are just so perdictable, in All the Fixin the conflict that is suppose to draw these character's out more and make them come to terms with things, is so contrived and silly. When I think of the previous books I have read already all of the conflict she creates between her character's always works out this way. I had hoped to see Ms.Rochelle's writing get better, with the sampling of books I invested a small fortune in I can say that I am disappointed. I would hesitate to purchase another book at this point, I would have to see some significant reviews to refute my opinion. I would be hard pressed in the future to trust some of the more familiar reviewers(one's that I did appreicate) who have reviewed before on some other IR books with a much more critical eye than they used on Ms.Rochelle's books.

to the reviewer who advised 'save your money and don't buy this book'. I couldn't help myself and started marking the typos in red ink. If the Editor couldn't do his/her job, then the Author should have read her own work. Very disappointed in this book, CC was emotionally unstable and Shea was willing to put up with his screaming and flip-flopping. This book was suppose to be based on the intense dislike/distrust CC felt toward Shea. But by page 44, CC was trying to conquer her. I hate I used a pen, because if I could have returned this book, I would have.

Shea just wanted the Jag, not the entire cosmetic company her friend left her in her will. She definitely didn't want the company if she had to interact with Rebecca's nephew, Craig, or did she? Every time they saw each other, sparks were flying but were the sparks from their total dislike of each other or the sexual tension everyone around them saw and felt but they were blind to? Does Craig want the Company back in the family more than he wants Shea in his bed?
Ms. Rochelle writes books that put you right in the middle of all the action. You develop an attachment to her characters that feels like they are some of your best friends and they are giving you the play by play of their love lives. I highly recommend this book because it is sexy, funny, realistic, and HOT!

All that needs fixin,
By Bev "Avid Reader" (Brooklyn, NY) - See all my reviews

First off, the cover is beautiful, the book, not so much. I was very excited to read this but then I started reading and realized that I wasted my money on this book. Next time I will wait for reviews before purchasing a book.
Save your money on this one, so not worth it.

All the Fixin....a winner!,
This review is from: All The Fixin' (Paperback)
I really enjoyed this book. I read so many IR romances where the woman jumps into bed with the man in the second chapter and then the only thing they do is have sex.
Craig and Shea had a started off on a rocky road and then ended up having an amazing relationship with each other. I got into reading about them. It was a long story, but I thought it was well worth the money. Now some people may not like it because the couple isn't all over each other in every chapter. However, I loved the process it took them to get together. Furthermore, the cover is just stunning! I love having it on my bookshelf and I'll get another book in print by this author. I really hoping that Ms. Rochelle will write a sequel with Craig bestfriend Josh and Shea's best girlfried Pierre. Just the little bit I read about them made me want more. |
