If you like gin, this is a great book of modern cocktails from various cocktail lounges and bars across the country. Many of these drinks require some fairly specialized ingredients that are not readily available/common, or even some that need to be made (various types of simple syrups, infusions, etc), but in that case it provides all of the info needed to make the items for yourself at home. These are definitely not "classic" gin drinks, but are often modern mixology variations on classics. Definitely some fun libations in this book.
This is a good book for the adventurous bartender. The ingredients are somewhat hard to find but the book includes names and locations where the recipies originated- a nice feature. Would make a good gift for someone who likes gin and is up for a challenge in locating ingredients or touring american bars. There are also so interesting chapters on history etc.
