I went to California a couple weeks ago, and ehard a classical guitarist at one of my relatives weddings. He played classical music and it inspired me. Ever since I have been into classical music. Don's guitar ability is so meticulous and astounding. I recommend this CD to ANY guitarist or music fan. "Etudes", "Shenandoah", and "The Rose" are my favorite pieces.

I reccommend his CD to everyone who enjoys the sound of classical guitar, and a relaxing enviroment.Mister Dawson has a superior talent in his field of work. This is perhaps the best I have heard since Andres Segovia. His performance of this material is quite soothing and peaceful to the mind.

I was introduced to this cd, by my grandmother who is a friend of Mr. Dawson's. I am a big fan of classical music, but when I saw that this was on guitar, I wasn't so sure. I was very surprised however. The music is played very well, and there is a wide variety. There are a few songs that you will recognize such as such as Shenandoah, and a Bach fugue. Most of the tracks are soft and very relaxing. My favorite is the First Etude, track #1. The more up tempo pieces, are just as well played. I could listen to this cd any time. I would strongly recommend it to anyone. It is a somewhat different twist on the classical music genre, and it is of very good quality.

A great delivery!,

Donald Dawson's guitar talent is one of the best things to come along to promote not only classical music, but the guitar itself. Since most of the classics were written with violins, pianos and in fact entire orchestras in mind, it is no small achievement to deliver such a brilliant arrangement on one guitar, from one person. This is music for the ages, that can be enjoyed in a focused listening setting, as background for an elegant dinner occasion, or even in an elevator! <g> All Guitar is certainly a keeper that will be played again and again.

First Time Listener,
This review is from: All Guitar (Audio CD)
This is a review from someone who knows absolutely nothing about clasical guitar. I can say that I've only recently begun to study the guitar and have come to realize how difficult it is to play it well. I enjoyed all of the pieces on this CD, especially "Bouree" and "Etudes". The sound quality and the overall flow of the pieces were both very good. Mostly, what stands out is the quality of the performances;all were wonderful.
