This first effort by Crosby Loggins, "We All Go Home", shows all the promise and expertise of a seasoned veteran. His smooth vocals, brilliant lyrics and star studded band will soon be giving his father Kenny a run for his money.

But what really sets this band apart from all the other new up and coming bands and gives them a totally new and different sound is that the lead instrument is a violin. Played by virtuoso violinist Paul Cartwright, his solo string work is awesome time and again and blends so well with the remarkable guitar work by co-producer Jesse Siebenberg, (Son of Supertramp drummer Bob Siebenberg), who is featured on electric and acoustic guitars, lap steel, dobro, and percussion. Rounding out the rhythm section is keyboardist Dennis Hamm (Mother Funk Conspiracy-Bakersfield), Bassist Forest Williams and Drummer Jared Pope.

I was lucky enough to see Crosby and the Light at Humphreys by the Bay in San Diego back in April of this year when they were still putting the finishing touches on this CD and they left the packed full house speechless. The applause was deafening. Since then Crosby has been playing solo while touring and opening some shows for his dad Kenny Loggins and is now on the road with Blues "Hot Shot", Joe Bonamassa who also just released a great new CD. Story is he'll be playing over a hundred shows with Joe while Crosby's management is setting up The Lights first headliner tour possibly starting next year.

My suggestion: BUY THE CD, NOW!!! Then look for Crosby Loggins at a Joe Bonamassa show coming to your town and buy tickets for that. Even playing all by himself, Crosby puts on a tremendous show that's filled with energy and emotion that comes straight from the heart. I give this CD Five Stars *****, BUY IT NOW, you'll be glad you did.

This CD is something that I have been waiting to hear. A band that is talented enough and open enough to integrate wonderful violin and guitar portions to the song that sound like they "belong there" always belonged there... A mix of rock, heartpounding and energetic, to beautiful melodies where Crosby Loggins voice, with Pauls violin (fiddle) playing are so in sync, they flow like water from a waterfall! This CD will so impress you I think you will turn around and get every relative or friend who loves music one as a Holiday Present. It will be something they will always treasure. Anne in Ohio

With the "Rock The Cradle" hoopla now in the air (the finale has yet to air) many more people have been exposed to the incredible talent that is Crosby Loggins. I was fortunate to stumble upon him opening for blues-rock monster Joe Bonamassa last summer. It was just Crosby and his acoustic guitar -- no backup band -- and I could tell I was witnessing something special. I picked up a copy of this, his debut cd, and was even more impressed. He is musically mature way beyond his years, and yet I get the sense that he's just scratching the surface.

His voice is an amazing instrument that is very reminiscent of James Taylor. He also writes great hook-laden songs. And what a great group of musicians he has in his band "The Light." I hope he rocks out a bit more on his next cd, but this guy is the one true talent on RTC. He's going to be making great music for a long time to come. He was already a great musician, and now he has become a great performer too. Look out Top 40!
