Mariah Carey does it again. She has another hit single but, too bad this Christmas single wasn't released in the United States. It's great to hear Jermaine Dupri and Lil' Bow Wow helping Mariah out on track #2 of the remix to ALIWFCIY, (it gives the song some "flava") <---- this song gets five stars for being so good. Also, Mariah does an extraordinary job on track #3 singing O HOLY NIGHT, live!....and the infamous club mix of JOY TO THE WORLD takes up track #4. By the way, track #1 is the regular version of All I Want For Christmas Is You. The price is for this CD single is a little steep but compared to other music internet sites, $20.49 is a pretty good deal. I hope this review helps.

To start- this limited edition CD is awesome! A Great new remix of a new classic holiday song- along with the original- an acoustic/live version of the classic "O Holy Night"- and A Club Mix of "Joy To the World"- the Cover is cool- and it's a must for all Mariah fans- The bad news- up until last year- the remix was unavailble in the US- and two of the other tracks are still navailable- and more than likely never will be- why? because of out wonderful money-loving RIAA!- No more singles, no more mixes, no more bonus tracks, no more b-sides- unless of course you live anywhere outside the US- you're going to miss out- Umfortunately record companies have yet to figure out the connection between Internetr Piracy- and the fact that singles, remixes, among other works are almost entirely unavilable in the US- go figure- but anyway- you gotta get this single-

This is an excellent X'mas single by Mariah! The re-make of the popular hit "All I Want For Christmas Is You" is wonderful. The LIVE version of "O Holy Night"--I don't think anyone else can sing this song better than Mariah. Seriously, after listening to her rendition of O Holy Night on her Merry Christmas album, I HAVEN'T found any other better rendition. And this single just proves, once more, that Mariah CAN sing and she STILL sounds excellent! The first time I saw her MTV of this new version of "O Holy Night", I was shocked and blown away! Since so many people were talking about how she had lost her voice and stuff, but she HADN'T! Alright, enough said. Now that people outside Japan can also get this single, I really think they should give Mariah a chance.

This is basically a holiday single with remixes of All I Want For Christmas Is You, originally from her 1994 album MERRY CHRISTMAS. There is a remix of the song featuring Lil Bow Wow and Jermaine Dupri, a club mix of Joy To The World, and others. However, the must have song in buying this CD is "O Holy Night 2000" her freshly made rendition of this holiday classic. It was on her 1994 album MERRY CHRISTMAS, but this version is more vocally impressive and it shows her strength in vocals. I think she invented a note, she seems to fly off the piano at the end. Its a beautiful song. This is a pricey CD, but if you're a huge fan you won't want to miss this one!

I play this almost year round. I was lucky to find it in an obscure record store with plenty of collectible "goodies" in it, and the picture I have on the front of the CD is totally different! I might just buy this one to get this caricature of Miss M., it's even cuter! All I have to say is anyone who takes Afrikka Bambaataa's "Planet Rock"--an absolute break dance anthem---and loops it into a Christmas track? It doesn't get any better than that. This cd rocks, it's a shame it's only available in an import. Don't miss this one!

This single is really good. It has the original version and a really cool remix to it. There is also a live version of "O holy night", Mariah's voice is soooo awsome in it. And finally there is a remix of "Joy To The World", it is a really cool remix. Even if your not a Mariah fan you'll still enjoy this.

This 4-track Japanese single is so good. It has the album version of All I Want For Xmas Is U: a great blend of pop and xmas genres. It also has the rare club mix of Joy To The World. And best of all, it has 3 exclusives! Exclusive #1: the cartoon cover. Exclusive #2: the beautifully redone Oh Holy Night. Exclusive #3: The spectacular hip-hop mix of the title track which also features the rappers JD & Lil' Bow Wow

Mariah has done it again with the AIWFCIY So So Def Remix. This song is amazing! I love the beat and Mariah's vocals; especially near the end of the song when she hits her high note. I also like the live version of O Holy Night. I think it show off her voice to all of those who think she has lost her voice over the past few years. She hits both the low and high notes with power and ease. She IS without a doubt the BEST singer out there. Buy this CD right now! You will kick yourself later if you don't.

I have had Mariah's Merry Christmas CD since 1994 when it was released and I love it so much more than anything that has ever been put out by any other artist who has done a Christmas album!!! Mariah has the most beautiful, powerful, breathtaking, soaringly 7 octave range in the world!!! All I Want For Christmas is written by Mariah and it's one of my all time favorites because it's so fun and danceable and I dance and sing along to it whenever it's on!! Mariah's version of Joy To The World is incredible, Mariah really knows how to turn this classic into a dance hit!! I totally love how Mariah made a club mix to Joy To The World and the music video is awesome too! I like how she incorporated that one part from Three Dog Night's Joy To The World in "Joy To The World, All The Boys And Girls" and I just love how she is so upbeat and everything!!!

I once let a guy friend I have who is also a Christian like I am, hear Mariah's Joy To The World and his words exactly were "This is a drinking song" and I was like, this is NOT a drinking song!! I don't take things like that seriously because I know Mariah meant no harm to include those few lyrics which also has all three real Joy To The World verses in it, it just made the song more unique and I love it!! Besides, the part "Joy To The World, All The Boys And Girls" fits Christmas perfectly, there's nothing wrong with putting that one part in the classic Joy To The World. Now, if she included the verses from Three Dog Night's song, there would be a problem! Yes, I am a Christian and I honestly see nothing wrong with just incorporating that one little part into the song that just makes it more unique! O Holy Night is by far the best song ever and Mariah's version could never be topped!! Mariah truly has the voice of an angel!!! I also like the remix of All I Want For Christmas that has a mix of hip-hop and R&B. This CD single is definitely something I will be listening to forever!

Eventhough I was skeptical about ordering this cd, I had to being the Mariah fan that I am. It arrived in less than 2 weeks. The All I Want for Christmas remix is just as good as the original, if not better, and the live version of Holy Night is definately better. There's nothing like hearing Mariah belt out a song, but hearing it live makes all the difference. She is definately the best around. So if you are a Mariah fan, this cd is a must have. If you're not a Mariah fan...then you don't know what you are missing.
