This is the same artist that sings lead (uncredited) on the Vince Vance version of "All I Want For Christmas Is You". If you like her singing on that track, you'll want this holiday CD which is all LISA LAYNE!

I bought this album just for Lisa's "All I want for Christmas is you". Although Lisa's voice is still as beautiful as it was back in 1995 when she recorded this song solo with Vince Vance and the Valiants, this 2006 version with the Jordanaires as backup doesn't have the power and zing of the older version with the Valiants.
Had I known that, I would have bought the older version instead.

Excellent album. We had the privilege of seeing her live in Branson, Missouri, and this album really captures her talent.

The title song of this album, which was originally cut by Vinca Vance and the Valiants featuring Lisa on this song but without credit on the alnum cover or liner notes, was the song that had people asking who is that girl singing "All I Want For Christmas Is You"? And deservidly so. You will know why there were asking when you listen to this album.

Lisa Layne has been overlooked by the music establishment. I don't understand why and so will you after listening to one of her albums. For a number of years she has done a Patsy Cline tribute show. When you hear her doing a Patsy song, close your eyes and you will swear Patsy has been reincarnated. Lisa has come a ways from her days as the girl singer with Vince Vance and the Valiants but shee still doesn't have the recognition from the establishment that here talent deserves.

Beautiful Christmas music with a more upbeat-grown up rythm.

This CD is OK. but not the original recording. I thought it was when I made the purchase, my mistake.

I bought this for my Mom as a Christmas present, as "All I Want for Christmas is You" is her favorite Christmas songs. The CD case was cracked, but the CD itself was in perfect condition. She liked most of the songs, so this was a worthwhile purchase.

It took longer to get here than I expected, but when it finally arrived, it looked as if the post office had delivered it to the wrong address. I think the seller sent it out in good time.

All I can say is this CD has that swank country sound that is fabulous and you rarely hear anymore.

This is a must CD for the Holidays. I recommend this CD to one and all.
