Editorial Reviews

All Is Well is simply excellent. Dr. Mona Lisa Schulz has blended her expertise in health with the healing wisdom of Louise Hay, one of the leading icons of the human consciousness community. This book is a tribute to the intuitive genius of Louise, whose work as a role model for positive thinking pioneered healing first for people with AIDS and then for countless others.”
Caroline Myss, New York Times best-selling author of Archetypes: Who Are You?
“In today’s world of too much information and too little wisdom, there is very little that gets to the heart of any matter—especially regarding health. But All Is Well does just that by combining medical science and intuition. As a former RN, I insist on the latest medically proven scientific evidence when looking after my own health. But I also honor my story, my personal experiences, and my unique sense of intuition; I use these to inform my ability to find inner peace, health, and balance in everyday life. This book takes this same approach, and so when I started to read, I began to feel better immediately. If you read only one book about health this year, this is the one for you!”
Naomi Judd, author of Naomi’s Breakthrough Guide
All Is Well is a must-read manual for the coming times when we will need to be our own spiritual physicians. The best health insurance is to learn how to stay healthy, and Louise L. Hay and Dr. Mona Lisa Schulz are wonderful teachers.”
Doreen Virtue, author of The Healing Miracles of Archangel Raphael
“We know the mind affects the body’s physiology. We know there are emotional roots that underlie disease and that few diseases are purely biological. We know the benefits of affirmations like the ones Louise Hay has been teaching for decades. Yet never before have the scientific medical data, psychology, and spirituality—as well as the brilliant perspectives of Louise Hay and Dr. Mona Lisa Schulz—interlaced with each other so effortlessly. Whether you’re facing an illness, working with patients, or simply seeking to live an optimally healthy life, read this wonderful book and let it inspire you. . . . The answers that follow may be your best medicine yet.”
Lissa Rankin, M.D., author of Mind Over Medicine and blogger at

I have not read any other books by her and don't really know much about her background, although she seems very educated.

If you remember Louise Hay’s famous 1980s book, You Can Heal Your Life, you will understand the extremely groundbreaking healing advice contained in this new, spiritually, scientifically and medically targeted book, All Is Well, Heal Your Body with Medicine, Affirmations and Intuition.

This great book was a collaborative effort between Louise Hay, founder of Hay House, a successful publishing company, and Mona Lisa Schulz, M.D., PhD, who holds two doctorate degrees and has over 25 years experience as a practicing medical intuitive.

Together, these two amazing women united the use of complex science and spiritual health research to help others empower themselves to experience complementary avenues to personally heal.

I could relate to many of the “From the Clinic files” case studies they shared in this book.

Many of the holistic recommendations they provided, along with traditional medicine, often included seeing a Chinese herbalist and an acupuncturist. I was happy to see this as I’m a big proponent of utilizing holistic with traditional medical practices.

Many of the case studies were normal people with body, mind or spirit issues that spun into a particular health issue.
Through these case studies, it was never more clear to see how important our thoughts are in creating our illnesses and realities – good and bad.

This book, divided into Seven Emotional Centers, helped me discover troubled areas in my body that needed acute attention. The recommended affirmations for these troubled areas helped me focus my healing efforts more easily.
Many of my issues center around the fifth and sixth emotional centers – everything north of my heart.

I am a mental health therapist and energy worker. Like the authors, I agree that health requires a multi-faceted approach to "cure" most problems (mind, body, spirit). Attitude is EVERYTHING. I am always looking for the Holy Grail that will say, "THIS is the way to help all people," and I am afraid that this is not it. I am only a jury of one. Based on my own experience, this book is lacking in prescriptive approaches. According to this book, I am well. (I am). However, I do have anemia. This says my problem is a "yes, but attitude. Lack of joy. Fear of life, Not feeling good enough." My affirmation is "It is safe to experience joy in every area of my life. I love life." It also suggests iron supplements or B12. This doesn't describe me at all! :) But maybe I am not seeing myself objectively so let's look at another one. I see a periodontist regularly. According to this, I am wishy washy. Anyone who knows me will agree that I am very decisive and have no problems making the toughest decisions.

If you are in the bookstore, check out the handy dandy little index in the back. Look for your condition, the underlying unhealthy attitude and the associated affirmation to see what you think. If it clicks with you, give it a try. If not, well, at least you didn't invest in the book. ;)

If you want it all in a nutshell, here it is. If you release fear and love yourself, all your problems will disappear- so affirm that.

It's not a bad book. I just think it's missing something. I think most truths are simple. So, I like the simplicity of it, and it just doesn't capture the secret to wellness that it advertises.

I have been a Louise Hay fan since the 80's. I think she's a great woman who walks her talk. Her message is
solid and her books no-nonsense. So why would she let Mona Lisa Schultz use her material in such a sloppy, poorly
edited and boring rehash? Schultz, whose books leave me pretty cold and unimpressed, just rides on Louise's work,
redirecting the affirmations to her very self-serving case studies which, in any case, are just stock stories. She throws
in the concept of "emotional centers" which are nothing more than the usual discussions of chakras (much better
written about by Carolyn Myss) and mixes it with her very superficial explanations of intuition. Most of the book skates
on the usage of Hay's affirmations and at the end reproduces all of her "little blue book" regarding causes of illness.
I felt ripped off. There is no improving on Louise's original work. Schultz seems desperately trying to ride on her
coattails but adds nothing to the mix. This is not a book by Louise. It is written by Mona Lisa Schultz and just repeats
what she has already written about in her other two books which to me were soporific. Had I known she was the main
author I would have never bought the book. Louise Hay's name and reputation have stood the test of time and she
does not need inferior writers using her name to sell books.

I have purchased several of Hays books, mostly affirmation books! The last book I read of hers was this one: Heal Your Body A-Z: The Mental Causes for Physical Illness and the Way to Overcome ThemI personally have never been moved or helped by Hays' books. This book was free so I decided to give it a try. I took the self assessment quiz and the affirmations that matched the quiz results were pretty accurate.

I then went to the back of the book to look at the affirmations. Like for eyes, your issue is not trusting some divine entity for your future.

I personally was more interested in the examples. I really couldn't figure out how to use this book to help myself. The affirmations and issues seem accurate but I just don't know how THIS book helps. I used the affirmations to do THE WORK by Byron Katie. So, for example, if my affirmation states I am indecisive, then I come up with a situation that I am indecisive and just do the work on it.

In my opinion, this book is another tool in the box of self help.

This book would have been better if it was organized this way:

For example:

Gum disease
Affirmation - I am willing to experience myself making joyful decisions in my life
Medical treatment - green clay, mustard oil/salt mixture, neem oil,etc
Intution - I have an inability to be decisive

If Hays and Schultz had written the book in the above manner with each disease listed, this book would easily fly off the shelves. People want to know why they have a problem (intution), what medically can be done about the problem, and what spiritually can be done about the problem (affirmation).

This book may cover the material I have stated but it is not ladi out this easily.
