5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Smooth Jazz!
Ignore Robert G Raynor's review. This is an excellent CD and will delight all fans of Kim Waters. It sounds to me like Robert G Raynor would be best suited listening to big band slapstick jazz as it's obvious he does not have an ear for a quality smooth jazz groove. Buy it blind!

I've read the other reviews but none of them caused me to buy the CD. I own other KW CDs. I like his stuff. To be truthful, I can't pick his sound but I do know some of his good tunes. There are other sax players I listen to more frequently but I always enjoy KW when i put his stuff in the player. This project is similar. It is a nice listen throughout the entire project. A number of tracks are more to my taste then others but I'm not disappointed that I bought it. I certainly have wasted my money on other CDs. In all, this was money well spent for a "smooth jazz" sax sound. Above all, I like hearing original material and this is full of that!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent album, May 27, 2006
This review is from: All for Love (Audio CD)
It took me three months to get Kim Waters' album, but I love it. Steppin' Out, She's My Baby and Daydreaming are solid numbers, but I like the album's last three numbers, Happy Feeling, Good To Go and Sideways, which are all funky smooth jazz numbers. I have played tracks 8 to 10 the most. One surprise is the fabulous remake of Aretha Franklin's 70s hit Daydreaming, which Maysa sings so very well on. At times he reminds me of Paul Taylor's sound, but has his own approach. His saxophone leads blend very well to the R&B-styled grooves that dominate the album. This has a good chance to have several hits on smooth jazz radio formats. It would sound quite good on I-95 between Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD. The smooth grooves would blend well with Maryland's urban landscapes.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice and Mellow, April 9, 2006
This review is from: All for Love (Audio CD)
This CD is good, though not as good as some of his other work, but still not disappointing. My favorites are "Hot Tub" and the title track "All for Love".
